Need help with DIY "Thermostat Controlled Outlets" project.

I am trying to build this http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=45267 but have run into a problem. They didnt have any Master Flow model PT6 thermostats at my home depot so I just picked up one of these instead http://www.todaysconcept.com/honeywell-ct30-manual-thermostat.html . The problem is there arent any wires to hook up to like with the Mast Flow thermostat. Theres just a bunch of terminals. 4 to be exact. They are labeled "R", "W", "G", and "Y". I have no idea if I can make this thing work or if I need to take it back and get something different. Any of you guys know which terminal I should hook up the black, white, and ground wire to? Thanks

don't know how to answer this one, but if you're still confused after a while and give upo, check out the 'ductstat' ~$30 from amazon or wherever else

I considered buying one of those at first but I like the idea of making something myself. And I've already got the whole thing built except for the installation of the thermostat on the long wire so Im pretty much committed to it. Thanks for lookin out though.

R=Hot 24 volts,W, Y, G = common of 24 volts. R and W closes on Temperature drop, R and Y And G close on Temperature rise. What you have is a heat/cool room thermostat. R and W would signal heat to come on, R and Y would signal A/C to come on also closing G which would bring Furnace or Air Handler blower on. R and G alone bring indoor blower on.

I was able to google some info similar to that but it didnt do me any good as I dont know exactly what it means. What Im looking for is something around the lines of "Black wire to terminal R, white wire to terminal W, ect...ect...blah blah blah". Or just a plain "that shit aint gonna work fella, best get back to home depot". Thanks to you also for your help.

Whatever

DAMN...didn't know IGS had a day/night unit like that! What kind of temp probe/sensor does it have? I assume a temp probe on a wire type thing? Set a buddy up with a Sentinel UTC-1 instead for like $140...but that thing is sweet cause you have digital control, high/low temp recall, blah, blah. But for down and dirty like that IGS!!!

For basic stuff I still like my Johnson Controls A419 units cause SPDT and can control 2 devices (1 above setpoint and the other below) with one stat.

EDIT...and the JC unit is like $70 delivered, 15 amp, used in commercial applications...anyway...I just like those A419's.
