need help with dis new humidifier I bought

hello everyone I recently bought a humidifier and it blows out a cool invisible mist of watered aired. should I have it blowing towards my plants or away from dem. currently on dem but if any input ill switch. I'll post pics wen I get home

I would imagine unless your in a sealed room, which would cause the humidity to go up anyway, that your fan will suck most of the moisture right out especially if it is right in the room with them and close to the exhaust. So ya pointing it at the plants would do more than not. Now if your room or tent is in another room you would want to put the humidifier outside of the grow room in that room it is in, so your intake itself consists of the humid air which would be better.

If it's right in the grow room room like the key is to shut off or idle your exhaust fan on a schedule so it has a chance to raise the RH up before its exhausted. Basically shutting off the fan, giving them like 15 minute bursts of humidity, and then the fan kicks back on. I'm not exactly sure but there is probably one controller than can do all that for a normal passive room.

If your room is small and you have a carbon filter, without a humidity controller it could possibly raise the RH up too high and start to clog the filter, or worse cause mold or mildew to take hold. That would be bad especially in flower. Probably unlikely though if it is a small humidifier and considering the fact you need one in the first place, but every ones situation is different.

Towards the plants in veg only of course spidermites hate that scenario.Maybe a foot and a half to two ft in front of the plants with an oscillating fan on low speed a couple ft behind the humidifier

let me explain I ghetto grow op. it's in a empty bedroom with one 1000 watt and one 600 watt lights. I have no exhaust fan in der jus the heater running in the house since it's winter. I woodnt say sealed since I leave the door open so it doesn't get hot in der. so far the temp stays at 80 degrees n rh at 38%. I don't have a filter since my parents don't care bout the smell n my neighbors smoke weed so I doubt deyll trip of smell if it even goes out my house
