need help on bho

, no bubblebags and a great bho tube. can i hit those moldy buds with butane without ending with all the mold on my honey oil?

unfortunately not - gotta use a water separation method, and then really rinse the trics

you could put the moldy buds in a big glass jar full of really cold ice and water and filter the trics after they settle on the bottom of the jar.
Yeah....a good pair of ladies tights(what americans call panty-hose)....and pur the water containg the trics through it and the resins will al be caught on there....in fact thats the way ill be maing hash in future unitl I get my real bubbman bags as these cheapos are shit and lose more than half of the crystals.
Heres a quick run through...
get a small bucket or a big one if u got a lot, get some tights, the finest ytou can find and stretch them out a little over another contaier like a jug, dont pull em too tight though ir the mesh will be less fine with bigger holes...
Put sopme cold water in the 1st bucket and some ice and mix it all up a bit with a wooden spoon or use a mixer...then add ur ganja and then more ice on top...you need about 1 bag of ice for every 100 grams of material u use(2 kilo bags) keep mixing it up until ur satisfied u got all the resins off the plant matter.... then leaveit to settle for an hour....have a good spliff...once you had ur spliff and waited an hour, you can go back and very carefully spoon the weed from the top of the bucket, it will be floating together ion the surface... be careful not to disturb the water to much or the settled resins will mix back up into the water.....once you have all the green material out you leave it to settle for another 20 minutes or so....now you can start to vety carefully scoop the water out, again making sre you dont diosturb the water at the bottom of the bucet too much...If its possible tohave the bucet on a table or something, then you can siphon with some hose, which will hardly disturb itat all.
Once you are down to the last couple of inches of water stop siphoning/adelling, and get the jug with the panty-hose over it ready.... Take the bucket with the couple of inches of hasy water, and swoosh it all around to mix it back up again...then carefully pour this soloution through the panty-hose into the jug....if there is too much liquid for the jug, then remove the cryatls pour the waste away and then repeat with the last bit of water..........then once get all the water outta thr crystals by the usual means of placing betwen a towl and pressing with a rolling pin....you can then remove you crstals from the panty-hose...I pass them through a tea strainer as this is the asiestway to break up the wet chunk that forms when you press the excess moisture out of it, simply transfer this now powdered hash crystal t a pice ofcardboard and leave in a dry dark warmish place for a few days to dry off, ..... as I say, ill be doing this until i gfetmy proper bubblebags..as the cheap ones aint worth the hassle.

try running the water through your hash bags a second time Harry. I had a buddy show me this trick for the Xxxtractor bags and filtering the water through the bags a second time yeilded almost the same amount of trics as the first pull.
yeah i have done second runs with em but i think theyre badly made shit basicaly lol.... I still end up with a lot more extra when i run the waste through the panty-hose afterwards...Not as pure obviously but ts still 100 times better than all the shit u can buy over here... and any impurities are cannabis imputities and not some shit added...so Itll do til i get my 7 bag set....

heya, pitbull - butane is Non-Polar - and with a short soak, it doesn't dissolve mold.
Sorry to dispell the organic cloud - but bubble bag's are actually a better chance of getting mold in your final hash (if you don't get it all out before pulling the first bag) !

yes, the mold thing is true there Oil Baron. But it also depend on the variety of mold too. Botrytis gets filtered out ime, but not stuff like Powdery Mildew.

it really depends on what the mold is, but I'd try a butane extraction first and see, chances are it'll work perfectly
if it was me I'd BHO, disolve in a higher temp non polar solvent and to a fraction distillation and maybe crystalize with an acetate, but that takes a distillation setup.

personally i'd cut away the mold and try to clean the buds up if possible ,then bubble em ,,,just the thought of toking any trace of mould makes me wanna puke ,,,i'd imagine just 1 spore into your lungs aint gonna do u much good ,,,better to be safe than suffering an illness imo
i butaned some molded weed of various natures b4,.. all taste shitty to some degree.
