Need help identifying and treating pests. Please help!

So, I spend 5 hours moving all th plants out of the room, cleaning the room, applying the neem oil to all the leaves, diatomaceous earth in the soil, picking off all the bugs... And within 6 hours (just woke up), they are all back. I don't know what the fuck to do. I think Ill just have to wait it out I don't know. I feel so defeated right now. I want to just chop them all down and call it. Ill just leave them I guess and see what happens.

Roll a fatty and take a break from the little buggers. Find out what the nursery people have to say. I think the only way you'll keep them away from your plants is to put the plants in a grow tent, or score a big camping dome tent with lots of mosquito netting windows. Is there a Habitat For Humanity store in your town? They sell recycled building materials. If you found enough big window screens, you could quickly build a screen box.

Or just wait and see. But the nursery should have info that might help develop a strategy if it's needed. Good luck.

Yea, I will try the netting. This is just so discouraging and so frustrating. I might try to find a way to put all the plants inside my house for a few days and bomb the shed and do a major spraying outside. I just cant believe this is happening so close to harvest. Why couldn't this happen in veg where I could have just drenched the plants and gotten rid of them all. I cant spray the buds and thats where they seem to like hanging out.

It sounds like the area you live is overrun with these critters. Physical separation should work if it's tight enough... but spraying sounds futile. However many you spray and kill, there's a million more out there to replace them.

Thats what Im thinking. I put a bunch in a jar and Im going to see if the garden store knows what they are. Maybe I will grab a few bug nets and hang them from all 3 doors leading into the room. I just can't shut the doors inside because it gets way too hot. Maybe Ill hang another over the plants as well. For now it looks as though I will just have to wait it out though. Hopefully they go away once it cools down a bit. They didn't show up until the day this heat wave started. Its been 100-102 outside every day this week! Next summer I will definitely be making the room completely sealed and also add an ac unit.

Sorry, have not been keeping up with thread. Been busy and pissed off about our criminal politicians.

Have they caused physical damage? With thrips and spider mites, my plants were fucked. General poor health, brown spots and curling of leaves.

Also, do you have a positive ID on them. There is probably some local agricultural department that could identify the bugs. Tell them they were in your vegetable garden. Might want to have a friend bring them in for identification. I just did quick google search with county name, and this came up - county agricultural extension.

Good luck!!

They have not yet caused any physical damage. Today I went out and baught a big spool of fabric netting from a fabric store, lots of wooden stakes, magnets, glue gun... Everything to create bug nets at every entrance and enough to build little trellises around each plant and create a bug net around each one. This is going to be quite a project, but it will have 4 layers of bug net protection!!! I will post pics when its all done. I also got some other organic pesticide thats conposed of various oils (cinnimon, eucalyptus i think... Like 6 different oils) so im going to spray that around the room as well.

Well, they turned out to be false cinch bugs, and they have now infested our entire house and property. Turns out there is quite the infestation of these things in my area right now. I put up multiple nets in the doorways leading into my grow area, as well as bombing the whole shed and spraying around it. Within hours they were through the nets and my plants were covered again, even though they were buttoned up as tight as could be. There are hundreds of thousands of these things. Outside, it looks as if the entire ground is moving.
It looks like Im going to lose my first grow to these fucking things... Ive accepted this. T sucks very badly, but there I have done absolutely everything I could possibly do to get rid of them... All in vain. They only have 2-3 weeks to go, but I cannot have buds filled with dead bugs. I will just have to start over when this is over.
Thank you for all the help, but it looks like I have lost this battle.

tis a bastard mate, sounds a horror show. farmers must be getting them bad.

There are a lot of alfalfa farms where I live and it is a nightmare. They are in my kitchen on all my dishes, in my cupboards, in my bed, on my clothes, on my towels in the bathroom... EVERYWHERE!!! They say they only stick around for a week or two, so we will see. We are heading into week two of this so hopefully it will be over soon. I have not slept in 2 days because I keep feeling them crawl on me. I kept them out lf my bedroom for the most part, but they are starting to find their way in now.

Maybe you could vacuum the top colas of bugs, then enclose them with a paint strainer bag cinched (no pun intended) tight around the stem?

Sounds like an Alfred Hitchcock movie!
