Im sure there are hundreds of Haze variations that have that peppery earthy taste. I was wondering if anyone has tasted any exceptionally peppery/earthy Haze strains and if they could point me in the right direction to the specific one.
Also on the same not but other side of the spectrum....im a kush fiend but cant seem to find the type i use to get back 10 years ago. It was never given a major name other than Kush. It was exceptionally musky and pungent. None of that fruity overtones to it at all. Can anyone help me find something remotely close to these strains:thank you:?? TY

best bet is to buy from a stable seed shop (boutique) several varieties and grow them out, pick your favorite and learn to recognize the different pheno types of this (or these) strains, you'll only satisfy yourself this way.nobody can tell you exactly what you had and only by trial & error will you find the traits you want in your smoke. what you smoked 10 years ago might very well have been some sort of great bag seed strain no matter what story came along with it.

I think im going to go w/ Greenhouse's mix Sativa variety. It has like 5 types of Haze(2 seeds each) so i hopefully get that special one.

I wonder how long it will take before you can send a lab a small sample of bud or leaf and they will tell you the exact lineage of that plant, not just who the parents are but a full family tree that goes back 5 generations...that will be interesting.

Japan is already starting a cannabis Gnome project. However, it's not yet for testing out and archiving different strains, its used to testing industrial hemp for THC quickly. However, if they added each of the strains to their gnome catalog, they could test to see what bud is what strain, assuming they have already categorized that strain in their database previously.

Also, you might want to try some companies other than Greenhouse for beans, they are OK but many strains are So-So in quality. Their Hazes are actually some of the best genetics they carry, but you would be much better off grabbing haze genetics from Mr Nice (Shanti) who was the one who did a lot of work at GHS, but left to do his own thing. GHS lost many of their original Mom's/Dad's that Mr Nice still has...

Ive been talking to alot of people about this now and everyone seems to think that i want Super Silver Haze and Hindu or Master Kush. Those strains seem to have the flavor that i want.
Ice toker...where did you get the SSSDH?? I saw that on some link saying it was being bred but the seeds werent ready yet. It looks so tasty!
