Hey guys does anyone know what could be causing this brown/cream color on the leaves of my panama? they are in Dr earth pot of gold potting mix. i have only gave them a kelp meal tea. the kelp meal was from Down to earth with Npk 1-0.1-2.

To much nutrients. Burned it. They don't need any thing for a lil while. Fun fact On vegetables seedling sprout has more nutrition then the whole plant would. Like a head of lettuce. Flush with ph'd water.

You should not be giving small seedling nutrients.

A good soil can easily feed a small plant for a couple of weeks if not longer.

Only give it pure water until it grows some more leaves.

Next time, you'll know better.

yup! I concur.... with the above /\ /\ /\

were did you get the panama? is that from ace?
Ace is where the panama come from. i kinda thought that was what it was when i seen the leaves like that. funny thing is i gave all the plants a weak drench of kelp meal tea and only this one panama got the burn. all the other panamas loved the drench as well as 4 other strains all did ok,but i will just give them plain water for next 2-3 weeks
thanks everyone for posting and the advice.

Quit DRENCHING your babies. Just because they survived that shit doesn't mean it's good for them. Give them nothing but water for a couple more weeks.

thanks jellyfish! that is exactly what they will be getting until they get at least 2 nodes. im new to organics and i didnt think kelp meal would burn them but i was wrong. they prolly getting extra nutrients out the soil from the extreme gardening mykos,Azos and voodoo juice that i inncoult the soil with.

When the seed first pops the first little rounded leaves are called the cotyledons.
A wise peep will wait until these seed leaves begin to fade before giving them a light feeding.
Strains that have more Sativa genetics are generally lighter feeder then Indica strains and Panama leans more to the sativa side .
This is probably why it took it harder then your other babies.
In my environment this fading of the cotyledons usually starts when they are 12-14 days old.

yea that is usally how it is. i should have waited till they got the 2nd node before i gave them all a kelp meal tea drench. the kelp meal tea is alot stronger then liquid seaweed extract. this is why i made the mistake. i have always gave my plants in the previous years liquid seaweed extract when they get their first set of true leaves. this is the first year i decided to use kelp meal tea thinking it would be the same. trial and error i suppose is the only way lol. all my other plants even the other panamas took to it very well and they are praying really hard right now outside in the sun. plain water for all the plants till they get 2-3 nodes though just so im on the safe side.
thanks everyone for the advice + rep to all. i love Icmag and all great tips i can learn from everyone.

I just hope your seedling's roots are not rotting away... That would suck big time.

why would they be rotting away? i dont think in all 6 years of my growing that i have ever had that happen. when i first started growing i overwatered the hell out them lol i use a 1/2 tsp to water with. i just underestimated the kelp meal tea,as im very new to organic growing. its starting to recover now. its starting on the 2nd set of leaves and they are nice and green no roasted leaves on it.
