Need advice, plant problems

Hey guys, have a few plants here vegging under a 400w in DWC 5gallon buckets. Using General Hydroponic 3 step nutes, but have only given them one dosing of a weak mixing last week. Their leaves already had the discoloration before that. The pH in the water is 6.6. Any advice you can give would be appreciated.

i'd say get the pH down a little if you can, 5.5 to 5.8 is the best. also, you might want to give them more than just "weak" nutes, they certainly look ready for them!

alright I lowered their pHs, they now range from 5.4-5.8

tomorrow I'm going to top them off with a full dose of nutes, thanks aesop

Hi Freebird,
Your leaves look like that because there not getting any Nitrogen. Your leaves aren't making chloropyhll and thats why their turning yellow. Thats why the lower leaves, which are the oldest, are yellowing first. Give them the nutes asap. Some of the leaves may fall off, but the plant overall should recover in a couple days.

I can't tell whats going wrong with them really, but i'd sujjest lowering the PH in the water to 6 or even a bit lower then that. Aswell it looks like a few leaves are gonna be dieing so be prepared to trim a bit.

I disagree- this is what N def looks like:

your plants have a more splotchy yellowing which I think is something different.

also- have you been splashing the nute solution on the leaves? There seems to be some water stains on the top of your bucket- that might be too much foliar feeding for them

0-5-10 should fix that pretty fast

for your 5gal bucket this means:
0ml Grow, 25mlMicro, 50ml Bloom

yes, use no Grow for this formula

that might be too much foliar feeding for them
If you're foliar feeding in DWC, then you are doing something wrong, meaning, only foliar feed when you've got problems, otherwise you will get some from foliar feeding, better yet, avoid problems ;)

Whats your water source? (tap, well RO,..)

Hi Anonomauz,
If you read the post about his problem, you would find out that he has not fed his plants except once, with 1/4 strengh nutes. So that rules out the splashing theory, and I don't know were you got foliar feeding from. The pic you posted shows a N def, but just because his plants don't look exactly like that doesn't mean they aren't. Those plants look to old to not have been given any nutes yet.

Hey guys thank you all very much for the advice,

heres an update:

since last post I have lowered all their pHs and I'm keeping them at 5.6-6.0. I also have been feeding them full strength GH nutes (3tsp gro, 2tsp micro, 1tsp bloom) for the past week. The strawberry diesel really shot up there and I think I burnt her leaves pretty bad :yoinks: moved the light up ASAP when I saw that this morning

mace_ecam: I only use RO water on the ladies since tapwater in my areas is hard as a rock.

here some pictures, and as always any advice you can give is greatly appreciated!!
