Need Advice on 'package' being mailed overseas to an APO...

Hey guys..

I need some advice. I have a buddy who is going to be shipping me some pain medication. I do not have a prescription for it, although it is much needed. I am in the Army and they are very strict on medicine over here (the most the will prescribe is 800mg of Ibuprofen). I am stationed in Korea, and from what I have read, packages sent to APO's (Army Post Office's), go through customs and are also X-Rayed. I am wondering what you guys suggest to ensure that it gets here properly.

I am having it shipped alongside a paintball gun, and my first thought was to conceal it in the internals of it, although I am doubtful of this now hearing that it will probably be x-rayed.

Another thought is to have it shipped as a sort of care package, with candy, cosmetics, etc. and conceal it in a big bottle of tylenol. Do you think the Xray will be able to determine differences in sizes of medicine?

Any other suggestions would be extremely helpful. The package will probably be opened and most certainly be X-Rayed. Are there ANY workarounds? Does anybody have any experience with APOs or getting shit through customs?

Would the x-ray be able to see through the barrel? Have him wrap it in a towel or something and stick it in the barrel of the gun. That may work.

See, that is what I am thinking, but from what I read about modern X-rays, the see in color--that is metal shows up one color and non-metal another. I bet that an X-ray will be able to see something underneath metal. In fact, I know so, think about it, an all-metal suitcase at an airport...

And this isn't something that I can exactly risk or test, as it will be in my name...

i would have your buddy conceal pills in a vitamin label'd bottle.stuff with cotton and glue safety seal back on,if possible.

That is what I am thinking my best bet is so far. I mean they are not going to test or question the meds if they are just pills in a bottle, they will think they are just what the label says, especially if shipped from a domestic address with other care package things. My only concern with going this route is an xray showing inconsistencies of the pills i.e. half a bottle of tylenol with bigger pills in the middle....

I think my only problem is the Xray machine. I certainly can conceal is the package is opened and inspected, that isn't my problem. The problem is if they see something unusual and know exactly where to look. If I conceal it outside of the package and the Xray machine shows something hidden in the tape, im fucked. I dunno, I just wish I could know for sure if they Xray or not at overseas APOs...

if you're worried about inconsistencies of pills in the bottle why not just switch out ALL the pills? I'd advise against grinding up, as that could make it look like coke or H or something. What about getting a lot of snickers bars (they have nuts inthem so the pills could pass as nuts), dissecting them carefully (cut out the inside), put in a few pills per bar, and replace some of the nouget filling or whatever then carefully reglue the wrapper.
two huge problems with that one though....
1. way too much work
2. im not sure if the x-ray would be able to tell the inorganic/organic difference betrween the pills and the rest of the candy bar

I know what you mean about deniability, when I was a civy, I had alot of contraband shipped to and from me. Of course it will sent from a fake name and address, with nothing to identify the sender.

Yeah, I am in Korea. Its pretty cool, the culture is crazy. I am here till 2009. Its cool though because I met my wife here and she is with me. Pay is great (4k a month) too. It is bullshit though because I hurt my knee pretty bad and pain is always there, but the army doesnt give shit for medicine, they think that water cures all. It is sad I have to resort to this, but I am really hurting...

Haha, I am not stupid enough to have pot sent. I smoked a shit-ton when I was on leave for 30 days, and luckily wasnt tested for about 40 days of not smoking.

I am still stumped as to how to get this hear. I am about to call a cease fire and just give up, the last thing I need is to get busted like that, not with putting up with this much bullshit already. I would go through with it if I had a concrete source with experience with APOs and postal scanning that could give me a surefire way to get it through. Does anybody remember the guy "Postmaster" from OG? Supposedly he was a former postmaster and wrote a bunch of FAQs on the correct methods to mail shit and he had all kinds of insider info. Thats what I need...

I am familur with the military way of thinking,, I just never worried about mailing that sort of item IN,, most my exsperiance was folks who mailed OUT.. from "spain" at christmas had LOTS of fat cards mailed.. i have a buddy who occasionaly ships H to one of his old friends, it gets threw everytime when he sticks them in a tin container (like an altoid can). everytime he has tryed to ship it in other methods the package gets siezed. if your shipping a round white pill like say oxys or codienes i would get a file and shave off the imprint #'s and shape it to look like an altoid.

i would think the idea of putting the pills in a asprin bottle or something would also work as long as you can seal the bottle back up (the clear plastic that comes w/ new bottles) just carefully remove it and then heat it up to seal it after the pills r in.

you could also bag up the pills and put it in a shampoo bottle..i hear that method seems to get siezed occasionaly tho.

no return adresses, tracking #'s or fingerprints and you wont have a problem (well if u were a citizen u would just get a "love letter" (seizure notice) if it got snagged but since its the military i have no clue)

i dont mean to rub anyone the wrong way but i hate reading crap like this. this is a harmless loving maryjane communtiy. We are not criminals and do not associate in such activities. I understand you pain but it smells like bait to me. Looking for tips on how to professionally smuggle narcotics just seems shady. I think most people that pull that shit are tracked by the feds and eventualy busted. The forgiven suggestions by members are for entertainment purposes only..lol...
