walking through walmart one day i came across this nice stainless steel bowl...cost, $6!

just drill out the bottom, add a couple holes to put your guide wire, and you're good to go...

Is that a 1K 10 quart? You could also try to mount the bowl horizontally so that the bulb sits within/below and adjacent to the mouth of the bowl, similar the PL lamps. Then you could cut out the bottom and attach your ventilation.
