Sounds like a micronutrient deficiency going if the top leaves are yellowing; you are not using any micronutrients...... or not enough of them..... pics would help out a lot......

Are you using RO water or tap water bottled distilled? 6.2-6.8...... which one is it more? how often does it change like that?

Hi Stitch, was hoping you'd be one to reply. Have enjoyed a lot of your threads, here and in other forums. Anyway no micronutes, going to pick up some cal-mag tomorrow. Using tap water (comes out at 7 and I use GH PH- to bring it down to about 6, runoff comes out at more on the high six side, i only have test strips and drops for this grow so I am just approximating, but for the most part the color stays the same, will get a better meter next time around)
wouldnt let me attach pics....they are in my gallery.

Why the hell are you doing that? Just let the plant grow! Stress = sick plants. If you keep pinching budsites the plant gonna get pissed off at you. Let her grow.
Here is an unpinched plant:

Growtime; it's called super cropping; lots of people do it; it strengthens the stems and produces more branching makes them a bit bushier too.

Ya, the pics here have been in a hissy fit; cause you can't upload anything right away and it's random when you can :(

I have no clue why it's doing this either......

Im well aware of supercropping and it doesnt mean repeatedly pinching the stem right under budsites. Supercropping is pinching the *main stem* once, maybe twice, to encourage branching. Pinching budsites doesn't do anything but stress the plant and stall bud development.

There seems to be some confusion over what "pinching" and "super cropping" are.

Super cropping is the twisting and snapping of the the main stem and branches. An enthusiastic person might twist and break the stems in a subtle way leaving the plants unharmed while a lazy person would just cruise along and snap the tops at 90 degree angles.

The theory behind super cropping is that the chemicals required for the plant to fix these fractures may also be responsible for explosive bursts of flower.

Pinching a plant is the removal of the growing tips. This encourages strong lateral growth and thick stems to support the growth by redistributing the chemicals responsible for making the plant grow upwards.

lol...a controversy is begun. All I know is my buds are getting bigger, they look healthy with the exception of the one plant which is being taken care of. I lurked here for months before actually regestering and I have read Stitch's threads here and on other sites and watched his grows and find him to be very knowledgable, its funny how many people get all how do i put it, emotional about things or think that there is only one way of growing weed. for me its all about having fun and growing some good buds to smoke and share with my friends. all it is is a weed...I appreciate any help I can get.

One method will produce outstanding results for one while the samething will produce a dead plant for another...... The key to the whole thing is to find what works for you as the farmer and improve on it. I'll use nutes as an example, some people have great luck with the MG crap, i personally cant grow houseplants with that stuff, and others will use Botonicare, Cana, AN, Earth Juice, etc etc, and everyone will get different results. Just like the additives, you use what works for you, not what works for others.

I dont use the GH 3part, but the one thing i would recommend is getting/looking/research the other micro nutes that are out there, for example the GH micro's (flora series), along with some calmag+ and also, do yourself a HUGE favor and get a ppm reading on your tap water (this will tell you how much calmag+ you should add into your water prior to your other nutes......then you wont have any issues with micro nutes ever

Thanx jinx  I will agree with you there most defiantly; there is not one way to grow the plant; lots of people think because they do something different that it's not the right way to do it; I do not like that...... because everyone is different and like whatsthatsmell says: what works for you may not work for others and as long as you are happy with what results you are getting why should you worry about what others say is right or wrong as long as it's not causing you problems?

I honestly think when you add nutrients with additives like bloom boosters, root stimulators and other things that cause the plant to do things; I think it's a chemical cocktail; mixing things together just like mixing medications it can cause problems with the plant depending on what you are using and the combination of things.... take for instance plant metabolizer; it has vitamins and other things to cause the plant to need more food so you have bigger plants.....

use that with other nutrients you won't know what is going to happen..... I have seen more problems with people using additives in there grow than from them using too much nutrients; too many additives is a waste imo and is nothing more than marketing to try to get you to buy there stuff.

Most of those additives do not need to be used regularly anyways imo; super thrive is one of them..... that is not needed all the time but rather be used once a month or every transplant.

OK, I feel better. I let my Kali Most get away from me and I've been bending the main stems and the branches for a couple of months now. I mean every one of them almost. I was feeling bad for them but now I find out I've been SUPERCROPPING! Hell, I thought I'd fukked up, hehe. Come to find out, I'm an advanced SUPERCROPPER, LMFAO.

Seriously, the buds on all the branches are huge. They're right up there strapped down underneath the lights - which are all the way up against the ceiling.

Peace

It seems the fact that this is an Infirmary post has been forgotten. All this talk about "one method works for one person but doesnt work for another" is all fine and dandy....in a grow diary about healthy plants. He posted in the Infirmary asking about why his plant is sick and what to do about it. It's probably a good idea to stop stressing a sick plant if he wants it to fully recover yet people want to debate that? Whatever. Keep stressing your plants as much as you want :bashhead:

this is so cool...IGT, is correct, i did post here concerned about one of my plants. from all the book and forum posts i have read i kinda had a good idea already what my problem was. I just wanted some other insight from like minded people. I have only been "pinching" one of the plants (the one that is turning out the best), i was also going to top one in veg stage but i changed my mind. this is my first indoor grow so im kinda experimenting with a few different ideas i have read. im probabbly not as "serious" about growing as some of the people here. i want this to be a fun hobby and i want to learn how to grow the best possible smoke i can. even though i feel like an amature i also feel like i know a lot, ive downloaded every book and video i could find on the web and lurked here and other places for a long time befor making my first post here (this is by far the best forum i found)....where was i going with this? oh yeah, for me i just want to learn, have some fun and grow big buds...eventualy creating my own strain...anyway, my plant is looking better (will post pics soon) and i think she's gonna be fine. thanks to all that posted >=)

Ok, first off; all I said was is he pinched his plants before he was even having issues..... I am not the person who is starting a pissing match; you are the one who is getting all pissy, over some silly comment; if you look at it like that way then you are the one who is starting the pissing match; also I think it's wrong that you called me "oh great plant healer"; I am just a common grower like everyone else on here; I do not by far think of myself anything different, but just one who likes to contribute to helping out others. I am not someone who "knows all about growing" everybody learns something new weather they were growing 20 years or 30 years; something they are bound to learn they did not know..... so please refrain from calling me bullcrap stuff; as I did not throw any crappy comment or poke fun towards you; respect others how you want to be treated.

well i just wanted to update y'all, my plant is doing a lot better and i wanted to let y'all know what i did to fix her. From stitch's guide and what i've read, i was pretty sure it was mag deficiency, been using ff nutes and soil and i read it was lacking in this area so i was going to run out and get some cal-mag but funds were short. i ran across a post that talked about urine as a fert, so i took a centrum and a few hours later i pissed in a measuring cup. i put six oz of urine in a ph'd gallon of water and fed my plant. only the lady that was sick. ive done this twice and the yellow leaves are starting to turn green again...all is well =)...thanks for all the advice.

here is the piss post...lol

http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=21381

belive it or not she is doing better... :puppydoge
