Hey growers,

In the middle of building a 3ft x 3ft x 55 in tall cab and had a questions. Im going with my 400w for lighting with dimmable ballast. Should I do 9 plants in 2 gallon buckets or 5 plants in 5 gallon buckets? Due to height restrictions Im going with a mostly indica strain. Any advice is always greatly appreciated.

I couldnt fit 8 plants in a 4x4 using 2 gals. I vegged 2 weeks and ended up buying a 4x8 tent.
Peace

The following picture is 3 plants in 3 gallon containers, in a 30" x 30" tent. I frequently run 4 of them, but can't imagine fitting 5 into it. It is interesting to note that there has been very little difference in the yield between 3 plants and 4 with a scrog in that area - it's just a little easier to fill the voids in the screen.

Yes, 4 and LST would work well. I find that I get a little better results with the screen than I do LST, but it sure as hell makes it harder to work on the plants.

I don't know what you have in mind for the media, but on my last run I swapped from Sunshine Mix #4 to Botanicare ReadyGro Aeration Mix with Blumats (I've been using those for a couple of years) and the difference in the size of the root ball was amazing. I'm now a coco convert! I experimented with keeping 2 pots right on the verge of dripping out of the bottom of the air pots, and the other 2 a good bit drier. The 2 wet ones kicked the other's asses.
