Need a high pressure flow switch

Hey guys, I am looking for a flow switch that turns off 120v or relay when it reaches a certain PSI. Know where I can find one? Thank you!:thank you:

flow switch?

you are describing a pressure switch.

they are VERY common. square D is the industry standard for water systems, but there are other, cheaper options.

keep in mind these switches WILL respond to water hammer. you must install a diaphragm tank or water hammer arrester if you are using solenoids or snap action valves of some sort.

the pressure switch must be placed on the other side of what ever your arrester is.

read the manufacturers installation instructions and you will be fine. very simple devices.

slow opening and closing valves are ok... but an expansion tank is never a bad idea. it will prevent excess pressure from thermal expansion of water.

pressure relief valve is another option.

thanks @queequeg152w2 thats what i mean, a pressure switch, but i wanted to use it for a flow valve or actually to turn off a pump. Will try this out seems like a reasonable price. Also, the port is a 1/4'' FNPS. How will I be implementing that into say 3/4 or 1 inch pipes?

A pressure switch just gets "T'd" into the line, putting it in parallel with the flow. It doesn't move any volume, it just reacts to the pressure that it senses in the line. A flow control valve, on the other hand, has all of the volume flowing through it so that the valve can throttle the flow as needed.

what do you mean by flow valve?

you want to open or close a valve, or do you want to throttle flow?

to install this valve you will need a brass or iron or pvc bushing. basically a male threaded plug with a smaller threaded hold drilled into the center.
