Nature's Solution Compost Tea

I can buy this stuff at wholesale for about $11 and will probably give it a try.

I'm curious, though, how "active" a compost tea can be after being packaged and sitting on a shelf for months. Any opinions?

Nature's Solution Compost Tea is a “Ready-to-use” compost tea that is stabilized for long shelf life over 1 year. Completely Non-toxic and environmentally-friendly and approved for organic crops. It is extracted from compost and worm castings. Nature's Solution Compost Tea is a concentrated solution that is “safe” and made from “fresh” aerobic compost tea. Rest assured that it is made with high quality ingredients and formulas. Safe for use on indoor and outdoors house plants for hydroponics, greenhouses & agriculture.

Use two gallons of water with the two quarts of liquid compost tea. Two Quarts (1.89 liters) treats 380 square feet (36 square meters).

I hear ya, but to be honest I'd be willing to spend $11 to spare myself the trouble of making my teas for a couple weeks, just as a trial, if nothing else.

Making teas is a piece of cake, but it has gotten tedious.

Thanks.

Hey, now... I'm heading home here in about 45 minutes and my To Do List for the evening includes mixing the next batch of tea, so I'm on the same team as you, homie. :)

Just wondering how these companies keep beasties alive while on the shelf for months.

I would say that they pasturize the tea.(destroying any benificial micro-organisms)So whats left? A low yeild fertilizer organic and sterile.

I will just stick to the tried and true that I use. Fresh materials. EWC, Mushroom compost, Steer compost (I use the later two together for the diverse micros), guano and I have also purchase bags of garden compost and made tea with them. The Budswell(one gallon) liquid is 29.95. for that price I can make tea for months. Even at 12.00 as you say, you cold have bought alot on other things.
