N Def Or A Sign Of The Times?

I am 12 days into flower and at day 9 or 10 the bottom 1/3 of the plants leaves started yellowing. I know this happens in flower but I am going to guess not this quickly. I top dressed about 2 tablespoons of kelp meal and I think it is slowly stopping to progressing upwards. Any thoughts?

Definitely looks like she wants some Nitrogen. Kelp meal really won't help you with that. And I find once the plant starts eating itself, it's hard to get it to stop. I always give a third of a dose of veg fert, along with 2/3 strength bloom fert for the first 3 weeks of 12/12. Keeps plants from yellowing out before needed.

What nutes are you using? Might wanna try foliar feeding her some N to help slow it down. I don't have any exp in foliar feeding really....maybe someone else can chime in and help. :)

kelp is used more for micro nutrients.
I would just feed them with a complete nutrient with lower N then P and K. just enough to keep the leafs from dying and falling off..
if you want faster greening then foliar like vp said.... but I think a light feeding will do just fine..

good luck!:tiphat:

Flowering pot does best with a K:N ratio close to 1. If you add sugar or compostables, you need more N. Kelp has a K:N ratio close to 2.

A little lawn nutes will fix her up.

If adding N doesn't do it, consider Root Aphid or some kind of root rot

It looks like its just N because you dumped so much Kelp on them.

Give the poor girls some more water n fertiliser!

You dont want yellow leaves so early in flower

Add more of the growth component and increase your water-feed interval =)

Hate to be the one to shit on your parade but nothing is gonna stop that yellowing from progressing. That plant will be completely yellow far earlier than it should be. Been there. Add what you will, it won't green up.
Please post pics of them 3 weeks from now, I promise they'll be a lighter shade of green than they are now.

Were you flushing with pure water already?

If so wait until the last 2 or 3 weeks to do that from now on.
