N/A in rep - either giver or thread?

Sorry if this is wrong place to ask - what does it mean or why does it show an N/A in either the givers name space or in the thread name area, on the page where rep is shown/given?

I'm pretty sure there was info there - does it mean something has changed or what?

Ahhh, I see - thanks very much. Just saw where rep can be turned off, too. I like to give it as thanks for good answers, but not living my life to get it.
