Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ? BEDROOM DOOR GETS CRACKED DURING DAY TO KEEP TEMPS COOL FOR THE FLOWERING CABINET. THERE ARE CIRCULATING FANS IN THE ROOM. WINDOW OPENED ONCE A DAY FOR FRESH AIR. FROM OUTSIDE... OTHERWISE FRESH AIR COMES FROM THE THE OPEN BEDROOM DOOR.
Is the fan blowing directly at plants? YES, WHEN THE FAN SWIVELS PAST THEM NOT CONSTANTLY BLOWING ON THEM.
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? MOIST YES. I WATER WHEN IT GETS LIGHT AND TOP BIT IS DRY.
Is your water HARD or SOFT? SOFT
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? TAP

Is this some kind of mildew or bacterial growth? Or is this just what the plant starts to look like when it wants some food?

Anyone with eyes more experienced than mine know what this is?

By any chance, did you let your plants dry out a little too much, before watering them?

In the past, that has happened to me, when I forget to water, and the plant basically looks dead. After watering, it goes back to normal, but usually the first few sets of leaves look like that.

heeeeeey weedninja good to see you in another one of my newb-troubles threads. i'll be sure to test the runoff next watering... but i'm wondering why it's not showing on all six of the plants because their soil all ot mixed in the same batch. just a difference of phenotype? it's just weird tha the two plants showing symptoms happen to be right next to each other... coincidence?

i'm still thinking some kind of bacterial growth. i havent exactly washed my hands EVERY time i touch the plants. does anyone have a picture of bacterial growth on a leaf? is this not at all what one looks like?

ill get back to you on the runoff test tomorrow. lets see how sour this soil is.

You need to feed your plants and also move your light closer. Look how there isnt any growth on those nodes yet.

I'm feeding all of them tomorrow morning... and I'm making sure the lights stay 1-2 inches away.

What stage of life would you put these plants in? Seedling? Early Veg?

PBP Grow recommends 7ml per gal for seedling and 15ml/gal for midsize veg. if i'm going to feed half the recommended dose... what should I feed them? 5ml/gal?

Would you say these are somewhere between seedlings and mid veg... early veg?

I had problems with overfeeding last time so I'm really trying to watch it this time. Thanks for the help everyone.

i looked through stitch's thread again and WOW... that picture of a P def. in veg looks just like mine.

Should I give a little Bloom as well? or does the 3-1.5-4 for grow and .1-.1-.5 for LK have enough P for these already?

Should I go ahead and feed them now or wait till morning? i have 5 hours till lights off stilll...

Well. Guess I'll just go with my gut. I'm feeding the two affected ones with 4ml/gal of PBP Grow and 3ml/gal of Bloom. No LK this time.

Does this sound good?

did a pH runoff test. water went in at 6.5 and came out at 6.5. spot on?

although my chart says P gets locked out below 6.5. should i raise a bit?

in any case im going to go ahead and feed the 4 ml grow and 3 ml bloom to the affected ones. im really confident this is a P deficiency after doing a lot more research the past couple hours. Thanks for the tips everyone.

Use a 30X scope and look under those leaves too, just in case. If your ph is on, and no pests, then who knows? Maybe they will grow out of it.

ive seen wet feet cause this sometimes to certain phenos/strains that dont like wet feet

have a bud-o-scope from looking at trichs last grow. looked under the leaves... no sign of bugs or eggs. It really looks like a P deficiency to me. Plenty of pics on this site and others of P defs. look just like mine. I fed the affected ones 4ml/gal pbp grow and 3 ml/gal bloom.

lordbudly- what do you mean by wet feet? i don't get your lingo brother. soil too damp? how fast should i be seeing my 1 gallon pots dry up? They aren't getting completely dry in between waterings... every 5 days or so. Should they be drying out faster? RH is at 55-60%. Oscillating fan in the bedroom gives them a nice breeze effect. Want to get those stems nice and strong. But still not drying out all the way... Anyways is that what you mean by wet feet?

I am guilty of a bad thing. I read that you were giving nutes, but I skimmed over the fact that it was only 3 days ago. It looks like your plants are showing P deficiency, but 3 days is not long enough for your nutes to be absorbed by your plants. Give them a little time to "eat" their meal.

To answer your questions:
Yes, wet feet mean that the soil is water-logged.
Yes, they are in early veg.
Yes, I do owe you $50, but have fun collecting money from a ninja in a recession.

looks like the spots have stopped advancing. i guess they just got the nutes from the first watering. hopefully i didn't overdo it with the second watering. although what i fed was still half strength. i'll watch them closely. but this thread's problem has been diagnosed, treated, and is no longer an issue.

be sure to look for some juicy buds in 2-3 months!
