how long am I going to grow these things in the house. I told her I have no idea. I just moved them in yesterday under 150 w grow light. They are about a foot tall. i'm new here...i'm also 60 years old and I've not been involved in the culture since the 70's.

150w? Not getting a bigger light? Definitely look into what's called "Low Stress Training (LST)", Screen of Green (Scrog) and Super Cropping. They're all plant height management techniques.

That 150w lamp has an optimum growing zone that's only about 18"x18" square... using the above techniques to keep most of your plants in that small area will seriously increase the quality/quantity of your harvest.

I couldn't even begin to tell you. Back in my day, there was Mexican, Columbian and home grown rag weed. I am THAT new to this! But my Brother in law said the bag was mids, and had about 30 seeds in the ounce I bought for $150-- $40 was the most I paid back when.

well they aint gonna be indiga most likely sat or hybrid. most likely sat tho. the leaf shape can tell you a bit. fat leaves or long skinny. your looking at the longer flowering time tho most likely.i have had oldschool bagseed go for 4 months flower and more .I wouldn't expect a 60 day flower for sure tho. I had a few that ripened over a long period and I had to pluck off diff colas as they ripened and the plants kept going . them can get real tall an lanky.with a 150 light you need to do some training as them bitches can stretch 3x there size sometimes more. a 150 aint got no penetration so a screen,bending, ect is prob gonna be needed. I have grown oldschool seeds many many times. consider 12/ 12 asap

I think SML misunderstood your post. Since you recently purchased a bag of pot and are growing some of the bagseed, keep an eye out for female bud that wants to grow a few male flowers and self pollinate on the sly. There's a good chance that's how those seeds got in the bag and those genetics get passed along. Hopefully it was good smoke whatever it was cause you're growing it now.

If you only have 150 watts you'd best switch to 12/12 lighting soon because that's a little light for little plants. If both your plants turn out to be male then you'll only be growing them for about two weeks after you switch over.

what people are saying about going to 12/12 means 12 hours lights on and 12 lights off, but during the off period the plants need to be in complete darkness. it's the 12 hours of dark per night that will keep the plant in the flowering phase.

gl with your plants, lets hope you get at least 1 female. you will need to kill any males once they start showing their sex.

I too am in my 60's and back at it again. the Irony is that I am in Arizona and now it is legal and very expensive. I find that with Diabetes and MS I smoke it now constantly it does not relieve pain it helps me get it tolerable, the government is making feeble attempts to say they are trying to monitor dosage, and building a new bureaucracy to enforce Marijuana Laws and dispensaries a new Liquor board if you will. Using the Care Giver Dispensaries Network to enrich then limit access and then economic gains for both. FOR A WEED THAT GROW NATURALLY

Keep at it read a lot of the Micro grows look at my set up as well as others

Find a good Hydro Shop in your area read the reviews first

Great advice here. I'm 58. Seems a lot of people our age doing exactly this.

Growing is very addictive, very fun. Lot has changed since the 70s. Read, read, and then read some more. ICMag is great for that, the 150W club in particular. You are starting on a bunch of fun!

If the wife has an issue with growing inside go the extra mile for stealth and reassure her a lot. Things are changing for the better but growing in Florida is still especially harsh. I think it will be for years here ahead too. Crist says he supports mmj if he gets in the race for gov. But he's just another switching flip-flop bullshit lying politician who just wants votes. Keep on the down low whatever anyone says.

7 days under 12/12 lights. I found 3 caterpillars yesterday and picked them off, another this morning. I also started out with really bad dirt. on a whim, I planted 12 seeds in august in leftover bedding plant containers.. most came up and a couple died. I transplanted into 4" clay pots. reading up, I found NO MALES are wanted and I learned hos to id them. so all the male were cut leaving me with these. all three pots were left overs from tomatoes and peppers on the deck. transplanted into these just to see...the dirt was wet from all our rain and none of the pots have needed watering at all. but I did mis up a little fertilizer and add a couple ounces . I've leaned the plants over and it does appear the new growth is pointing up...
