My vaped weed stew recipe. Post your recipe too

This is a popular dish and many people have their own stew recipe.

I thought it might be nice to have a thread about how people make their stew and how they use weed in its preparation.

Here is mine.....

OK this is just a basic stew with a quantity of vaped goods mixed in and simmered for a long period. Having a slow cooker is helpful but it can be done on a stove/hob in a big pot with a good lid and a low heat.

So take any meat or no meat at all. This dish works equally well vegetarian or vegan.
Please bear in mind you can just use the vegetables you may find in the fridge or local shop. I just happened to pick the ones I liked. Just use your common sense. I don't have any common sense so I experiment with varied results instead!

This one wasn't bad....

Pork Weed Stew (serves 3-4)

So I took my chopped pork (can use any meat) and browned with garlic and oil then prepared 1 chopped carrot, 2 chopped potatoes, 1/5 chopped cabbage, 1 small pack mushrooms, 1 medium onion, 1 small pack pork of any kind (chopped into cubes). I used pork neck. If you want to go veggie obviously add more veggies and/or increase the amounts of potato or cabbage etc.

Now pour a decent amount of cold water onto the pork. Enough to cover the pork and chopped goods. Chuck in all your chopped goods as well as the weed. Optional here is to use a stock cube. Veg/chicken/beef/fish/pork/lamb it does not matter which kind. It will make the dish tastier. Otherwise you'll probably have to put extra salt and pepper or something else. Again any spice or herb you like. Experiment. It's fun!

Just to give you an idea of what I do.....

This time I stirred in a table spoon of brown semi refined suger and a couple of teaspoons of hot chilli sauce along with a teaspoon of salt.

When I make chilli I use a similar tactic and wanted to see how it worked with the stew. This time I have to say it made the dish a bit strange. It tasted a bit sweet but was very tasty on the whole. The chilli sauce was not a good idea in retrospect I'd have been better just sticking with a stock cube or even some gravy powder to thicken up the sauce at the end.

Now you have all your ingredients together give them a good stir then making sure there is enough water put the lid on tight and turn your slow cooker on low. It should be obvious when it is ready. You should allow a good 2-3 hours for it to cook properly slowly although it can be cooked more quickly using a higher heat. The longer the better really though. Let all the flavors have time to infuse together properly. Give it a gentle stir and a taste every now and again. It's fun!

Remember you want to cook this slow and be gentle with it or you will end up with soup which is not so bad in itself but that is not what you are making!

If you are on a hob you can heat to a simmer a bit more quickly but remember to get the heat right down to a slow simmer and check again after covering. You may need to adjust again.

Serve with warm crusty bread and red cabbage in vinegar on the side for fullest effect and to stretch the meal into more servings.

Remember stew is always better the next day. It is always best to leave it out but covered up and reheated the next day when it will be even more delicious.

Now - talking about side effects. I put 4 days worth of vaped weed in there. I was concerned my vape wasn't getting the best out of my weed as it is a portable one and also the type of weed I have now lends itself more to cooking than vaping in the first place!

My gf does not smoke or vape weed but she had a small portion of this reciepe and I had a larger one. We felt the effects after 30mins or so and after an hour we were both bombed. However it was a fun night and we both enjoyed it although my gf thought it was too strong.

Next time might try a beef stew and will post some pics of the final product up here as well as a taste and effect review.

If you follow this recipe and enjoy it give me some rep

Now let's hear all about your stew recipes?:artist:

Maybe someone will like yours and give you rep too:woohoo:

You may want to also consider adding a little sherry, (1-2 tablespoons- usually found near the vinegar at the grocery store); I always use it in soups/stews, it's fabulous in vegetable soup in particular and my mom always uses it when she makes beef stew...Please let me know what you think, should anyone try it. :)
