well heres the deal. I have been growing in the big room for a while now. I grow from seeds, veg, and then flower all in the same room. I aquired the other area and want to get a perpetual grow going. I must say in my big room I have the full setup (lights, timer, exhaust ect...) and the plants turn out prety well, so my question is whats the best way to go about this to get a constant grow going. I am thinking getting mother plants going in the smaller room and take clones and flower them in the big room but not sure on the type of setup.. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

I have a mother room 3'x2'x1' with 4 T12 2' cool white fluro tubes. The exhaust is a pc fan, and so is the one pointing onto the plants.

It is cheap, works well so far, and it never gets too hot in there, or cold really, cause the light ballasts keep it warm enough. My plants were doing really well in there until I moved them to my hps flower room and they got too hot. I've got a couple clones in water in the mother room though, so i'll see how it works for cloning.

Oh, and you can get the lights right down almost touching them.

that size veg/clone/mom room is more than sufficient to fill all of your flower room needs. You could keep a mom or two and still have plenty or room for a flat for clones and early veg.

Have you kept moms or grown from cuttings before?

Once you get a nice mother plant that you have dialed in the finishing time on you can run either a two or three stage grow. I would find a good 60 day strain and plant a stage every 20 days. You should be able to harvest a nice amount with each rotation without being overloaded. Hope this helps.

i have never done mother or clones before. Always from seed. I want to actually convert from soil to hydro. I have grown soil 3 different times. I would like to get around 4-8 plants in my flower room? and build the system myself.

DO my mothers need to be in hydro as well? Im trying to get an idea for the best way to go about doing this.

possibly 2 mothers to make my clones, and every 8 weeks, harvest and have my clones ready to flower and so on.

i picked up a great method on OG from a Dutch grower called Atmosphere1, it was the '12/12 from seed' techique. there are many advantages to this method, like bigger yields in less time using less power etc; and it's a powerful tool for small breeding projects too. there are a few guidlines that must be followed if you want it to work properly, i'll write them up if someone is interested.
