:1help: Ok so this is my first grow using a soiless mix, I've done 2 grows using claypellets.. I know ph can make or break you.. my question is what should i be feeding them ph wize.. I only have a litte drop tester at the moment.. Ive been trying to hit between 6.5-7.. should i be treating sunshine #4 mix as soil? or should i be aiming for a lower ph range...

But yah my seedlings are starting to turn a pale lime green and the leafs are all drooping down..

These Are 2 week old Chemdog DD btw
and ive been feeding them 2ml of floranova grow per gallon

I've never used Sunshine Mix, but before I knew what I was doing with coco, I had some seedlings that looked exactly like that. I was using a fine grade version, and the physical properties of coco be damned, they showed all the symptoms of overwatering.

This mix is peat moss, perlite, gypsum, dolomitic lime, and a "wetting agent", correct? Personally, I'd be inclined to let that dry out between waterings. Peat can get waterlogged pretty easily, depending on the perlite ratio. Whatever you decide to do down the road, some form of wet/ dry cycle for young seedlings will encourage root growth.

Also, the buffer in Floranova is going to bring your water/ nute mix right around 6, which should be perfect. Between that and the lime in the mix, your pH should be stable. You shouldn't need to "adjust" anything.

Good luck!

I think floranova was made for tap water.. with RO water 2 ml's turns into around 4.. gotta ph up it..

But yah I don't think it was over watering, I think it was cold shock.. I have since moved the lil guys back into clonebox under the 200 watt cfl... They perked right back up. I think it has to do with my 6" fan pulling 400cfm through the homebox and the fact it was 6 degree's outside..

But yes one of the seedlings developed a lil bit of purple over night.. due to cold temps i think.. not sure never grew this strain before..
