My Score from HTCC Seattle 2014

Made the drive up there yesterday, it was a pretty cool event. My first weed event of any kind.

One thing that really bugged me is they dubbed it "High Times Cannabis Cub SEATTLE," which was simply not true. The event was held in Everett, WA, which is about a 45 minute drive from Seattle. It's not even a damn suburb of Seattle! When I first read it was in Seattle I was like hell yeah! Then right before purchasing the tickets I noticed it was not a Seattle address. Google mapped it and saw I would have to drive an extra 45 minutes... this just irked me. Strong false advertising. If it was actually in Seattle the experience would have been much different. Anyways... /endrant

Okay not quite the end of my rant, 1 more thing that really pissed me off: there was no free water ANYWHERE. When you first get your wrist bands they make you dump out all liquids you have. In the event there were food vendors who sold bottles of water, but no water fountains, no water coolers, nothing. This is just ridiculous. People are smoking tons of weed everywhere. Not only do people get cotton mouth, but getting dehydrated in 85 degree weather is downright dangerous. Free water at an event like this should be a simple human right. The only water fountain I found I had to go behind a screened off section in the arena down a hallway where attendees were not allowed to go. Wtf!!! ESPECIALLY considering this event is celebrating cannabis culture, profiting off selling water is downright disgusting IMO... alright now that I got that off my chest...

I must say it was refreshing to see a booth of hispanic vendors. 95% of the vendors appeared to be caucasion, so seeing some ethnic diversity being represented was good in my opinion. Weed should transcend all ethnic, gender, social, religious, political and economic backgrounds/beliefs!

Was immediately drawn to the 2 GG4 crosses. I've been extremely interested in growing some GG4 after discovering her here. Haven't seen any dispensaries carrying GG4 or crosses of it here at all. Stoked to have some genetics with her!

Also after choosing 2 packs of each of the above, to my delight the vendor informed me it was buy 2 get one free. He talked me into trying the following 2:

This was actually the first booth I went to, and I kinda went crazy there  My main goal for attending the cup was to secure some new genetics, and the 2 vendors I really wanted to score from were Archive and OG Raskal. Getting to the Archive booth, I started just pulling down like almost all their seed packs immediately. After choosing 6 I asked the total and he said $770, my reaction was :yoinks: Hopefully it'll be worth it

Face Off OG BX2 (Face Off OG #4 x Face Off OG BX1)

Polynesian Cookie Gaze - couldn't find info on the strain really, but I imagine it's forum cuz x polynesian haze ??? I lost my little brochure from them, hopefully it's in my friends car so I can find out.

There were a few other vendors I would have loved to copped from beans from, but I unfortunately ran out of $$$. Rare Dankness, Sin City Seeds and Exotic Genetics all had some very good looking strains that drew my attention... I kinda went overboard on the seeds tho lmao! Spent about $1500 on the seeds, getting 2 of each pack (10-12 seeds each) in order to hopefully find a keeper of each strain.

It's a shame though, because I don't plan on popping any of these beans too soon  I have a full stable at the moment (6 strains and 5 tables) and am experimenting with some new strains already, so there's simply no room at the moment. However down the road definitely excited to try some of them!
