Hello guys. This grow started off really cheap, fish tank, 2.75 Soil, and a fishtank Floro light. I've since then upgraded to a more sophisticated, Even more complicated grow. Lets see where i should start, My indica is my biggest, and strongest(I hate to say it but it might turn out male in the end after all this shit-.-) standing at at least 2 feet tall, Really bushy, really really heavy on the foilage. But honestly thats it! the rest of these plants have been through hell and back,When i started the grow they grew very slowly, but they were beautiful.
They were dark ass green like my other 3 plants in the back*I ordered the seeds from amsterdam for those, they're Skunk Special, 1 month 1 week old.*
The Setup:
Hours of light: 18, 6 hours off.
Temperature: Havent really taken the temperature, but if its 68 constantly upstairs, and i have an ocillating fan blowing on them 24/7, Im going to assume around 72ish when the lights are on, 63-65 at night?
Light source: 400 Watt HPS, Metallic reflective ballist. *yes i failed to take a picture with all the ones i already have, can u imagine that?lol* But if a photograph or further information is needed, please ask, ill gladly give u the serial # if needed haha.
Airflow: At the moment, the grow area is not cut off from the rest of the basement, so im going to assume a very great air flow. im going to be closing off the room with the wooden frame ive built, installing an exhaust fan, and 1 for sure, possibly 2 oscilating fans.
Soil:
The big ones are in some cheap shit, i honestly cant remember the name, when i transplanted them i also added Scotts Water smart Formula Potting soil. The amsterdam ones are in just that, and the other 4 plants are in the cheap stuff mixed with Scotts, im due for another transplant and resoiling on most as well, doing that next month when i got the money .-.
But even those are morphing and dying on me. Nutrients? Well i used a 12-0-0 Bloodmeal, thinking it would benefit the grow. It did the complete opposite. Before i added bloodmeal to the 9 random seeds, they were really dark green and healthy. Ill also say before i moved them downstairs they were upstairs, and the walls were white. And they also were on my window sill ALOT, id literally bring them in first thing in the morning, water them, call them beautiful, and smoke bud play music around them*lame i know, but whatever i did it lets move on*
The total grow date..yeah lets just say that the big ones are 6 months, literally. They grew really slowly, and then after awhile i put them outdoors and it helped a bit, then i moved them all to the basement, installed a 400 Watt HPS w/ metallic ballist. For awhile, they got burnt, i erradicated that problem, cut the dead foilage off. I've flushed them, and added very little bloodmeal, it suggested something like a cup for a 10x8 garden, well i did half a tablespoon per plant, and for the amsterdam ones (the big pot ones) i gave them about 3/4s of a tablespoon. My watering schedule, roughly every 2-3 days, today its day 3 and their soil is still moist, not heavily, nor medium, they'll probably need a drink by tomorrow morning.
Bugs, while i completely have neglected any form of insecticide, i check frequently, and thus far ive found a fruit fly, and a bumble bee(how it got there, is beyond me, and he looked pretty damn stoned haha). I see these very tiny black bugs flying around the grow area, very rarely the actual plants. The fruit fly i found lodged in the middle of Todd(The biggest one, the indica). he flew off and havent heard from the bugger since. Ants, are prevelant around the grow area, Not to the point where i feel a concern,I've seen them on the pots, on the walls, maybe the saucers, But never on the soil or the actual plant. And also because i see alot of spiders and they're just on the walls, the spiders havent landed on the plants not once in the last 2 months.
Pictures...Give me about 3 minutes, theres at least 34 guys and all very high res shots.
