my organic micro :)

Well im growing these babies in a bed of edna best organic mix consisting of peat moss, volcanic pummus, Bat guano, ewc, feather meal, kelp meal, and michorizae sorry for the spelling. I added perlite and more peat and rocks at the bottem for drainage. I have been feeding them with a mix of 5-1-1 fish emulsion, liquid kelp, hygrozyme, and grandmas molasses. Ive also thrown down bone meal a couple times as a top dressing and it trickles down into the soil. I just added earthworms to the mix. The seeds are bagseed and lookin great. I have one thats more sativa looking and already in flower and some smaller indica looking ones growin up. All under 12/12 from seed in a 2 cubic foot vertical space with 180 watts cfl. i have a carbon scrubber in there i made and a fan not sure on the cfm but with my heat shield my temps maintain 80-82 with rh in the 50s. The bed has allowed my roots to expand and my branches grow tall. I havent ever bubbled my teas iv never had time and didnt really wanna spend the time on such a small grow but everything has been growing great. i think the hygrozyme might help and the worms will definatly assist. I hope this is enjoyed.

peace

Red wigglers are the best for composting, eat about 100% of their body weight in food...friend of mine is cultivating some. Guess they like to eat the bacteria on decomposing food/paper. so throw some small pieces of cardboard on that soil with a lil bit of orange/lemon zest....just some tips, each time the worms touch they reproduce. Now this is concerning red wiggler composting worms so your nightcrawlers might be a lil different. BE advised i tried this before and thought the worms would eat whatever was in the soil, 6 weeks later i had fungus knats hatching from their decaying flesh.....so keep them alive and happy!

Would Earth worms work?
Probably, but Red Wigglers will work better.

You can find them at any bait shop. Probably $2 for 2 dozen or more.

whoa lots of people adding worms now.

if you want REAL BENEFITS from worms, make your own wormcastings. its easy, takes little care, and results in the finest castings you can get. one worm will help with aeration slightly if any, a pot is not the best environment for a worm as well. with proper soil you will have more than enough air, nutrients, and microbial life in the soil.

i added a hole container to my bed not the best idea. Everyonce in a while one would surface and die. They may have been a bit crowded haha.

this seems like an interesting grow, im gonna keep posted. im trying to get some sort of micro grow set up in the near future... but im lacking ingenuity. what exactly do worms do?? ive never seen this before.. whens the best potting situation to use a worm in?
