MY NEW ROOM...Any INFO??

ANY thoughts on a CO2 setup for a 5 x 8 x 8 room with a 4 x 5 x 8 VEG room connected? I wanna run fairly cheap but not cheap products. I was leaning towards Green Air....the basic setup. ANY THOUGHTS??

The veg room is totally light sealed from the grow room and will have an intake fan from the flowering room and out at the top exhausting back into the flowering room to be scrubber and exhausted. I have 2 ECO PLUS 440's 1 6" duct booster and 2 4" duct booster fans. I was planning on using the 6" booster as the intake for the veg room and the 4"s for the out. I'll be running 1 ECO PLUS to cool 2 600 watt digitals and the other ECO PLUS to scrub the room.

So whatda yall think? ANY IDEAS OR TIPS??? I'll POST PIX WHEN I CAN

Sounds like youve gotta plan... very similar to where im going. Is it one room divided into two? Are you looking for CO2 from one machine to travel between the two rooms? Im not sure exactly what your doing or how youre setting up, but myself, id try to move the same air between both rooms, sharing the air and CO2, just not light. Just plan ahead enough to be able to remove the heat... im gonna incoorperate an integrated filter/cooling rig in my room. The inline fan pulls the stink though the filter/scrubber, then pushes the scrubbed air through my reflector cooling the temps and pushing the hot clean air outta the house. Dont know if i helped but Good Luck! Oh yeah, im looking for CO2 too, and greenair is the direction im headed as well... im just concerned about the expense of the controllers and the extra heat in the room from the open flame. Maybe this thread will kick a little knowledge everyones direction.

What's your cooling setup like? If you can't run the room sealed for 1-4 (or 24/7) hours at a time, it's not going to be very efficient using CO2.

I plan on getting a portable AC unit to keep the temps right. Is that what you wanted to know MTF?? I plan on venting final exhast out the window...sealed in a box type cover. I have 2 6" ECO PLUS Fans, 1 6" Duct Booster and 2 4" Duct Boosters. A DIY Scrubber and Duct Muffler. I'll draw up a design to show my "plan" Almost done with the VEG closet now...Thanks For the HELP N INFO!

I think I'd go with a CO2 tank with that setup. A burner setup is gonna take up some pretty precious room as well as produce heat/moisture that will hinder a portable AC's cooling ability. The only problem I see is that if you're venting the room with all those fans, you'll be venting the CO2...which will eat that CO2 up in no time - especially if it's only a 10-20lb tank.

IMO, I'd try to either figure out a way to keep the room sealed as much as possible to avoid dumping CO2 out your exhaust or just focus on using the ventilation/AC to keep the air quality high (and not use CO2).

I was planning on having the CO2 burner and whatnot in another room being pushed into the flowering room. Only the sensors would be in the room. Also...I'm not going to use the 6" and 2 4" duct booster. I hooked up the 6" ECO PLUS's I have and It should be PLENTY. So I'll just scrub the air and put it back into the room. Or have it vent out into the CO2 room. Havent decided yet. Thanks for the info.

For the A/C I was gonna use a 5,000 BTU. My space TOTAL is 8 x 11 x 9. My veg closet is 5 x 4 x 9 and the flowering section is 5 x 8 x 9....the rest of the room is basically for moving around...about 3x3. The veg closet has an ECO PLUS exhausting it and that runs across to cool my lights and out into the room. The other ECO PLUS will scrub the room. So would a 5,000 BTU UNIT be enough for an 8 x 11 room? Thanks again

You really want to get all your ducks in a row when doing co2 or else you are just wasting your time. I like the burner because I don't like filling up CO2 tanks all the time. Propane is cheaper, last longer, and can be filled at most gas stations. I think you also need to get monitoring equiptment or else you have no idea what ammount of co2 is in your room. CAP ppm-3 is one of the cheaper co2 monitors and I use it with great success. Use that with a temp/humidity/co2 controller and you are set. Well there is a lot more involved than that, but you get the idea. You can get an even better idea by looking at my setup http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?p=494393
