My New C24 600w Cab

Hi Everyone!

I've been waiting for this day to come for a long time now. I finally have evolved out of the closet and into a cab. I must have researched this cab and contents for a solid 2 months.









Some specs:
Ballast: Sun System 1 600w HPS ($415 Ebay)
Reflector: Sun System 2 reflector - best reflector on the market. (Included w/ light)
Bulb: Hortilux bulb 85,000 lumens (Included w/ light)
Fan: Can-Fan 4" High Output fan, 178CFM ($175 Local Hydro Shop)
Filter: Can-Filter 9000 ($100 Local Hydro Shop)
Cab: C24 ($115 home depot)
Cab Dimensions: 48"w x 72"H x 20.5"D
Media: Whitney Farms Uncle Malcolm's Potting Soil (3 Bags $27 Local Nursery)
Nutes: Pure Blend Pro Organic Veg and Bloom ($55 Local Hydro Shop)
Extras: Liquid Karma and Kool Bloom (0-10-10)-Free with light
Containers: 3 gallon (8 @ $1.55 Local Nursery)

Total Cost:$~900.00 from scratch

Update:

Finished! I changed my setup around so that the air is pushed through the filter. I did this because of two reasons. One was that the filter would act as a muffler, and it does now, and two, so that I could have more space to work with down below. Both of these changes have really helped my box. I have some purple urkles going right now. They were over watered, but are starting to come around. I will add mylar in the next couple weeks, and I added the boards around the fan to reduce noise.

but wouldnt the fan be more efficient for both cooling and odor control if it were placed next to the filter, before the ducting leading to the light? nice buds

Hi lorax, I'm hoping this system will work, but if there are problems like heat or smell, I will consider moving my parts around. Thanks for the reply.

good lookin cab.... u might want to consider taking out that divider in the middle, or at least cut it so that you can raise the light if you need to. Im currently in the middle of a c24 grow w/ a 400w switchable and kind of ran into height problems and had to cut that piece mid-grow.

Nice box

Im putting the finishing touches on mine as I type this...I'll be using a 250w instead...Total price after its all said and done should be under $100, lighting included
