Damnit, but i think my mix is too hot for my lil clones...

2 parts Promix Organic
1 part Bumper Crop
chunky perlite
a lil bit of FF POM starter mix.

any suggestions on toning it down?

a good flush will help tone it down. then just don't add any nutes untill you start seeing deficiencies

I don't see anything "hot" about that mix. What is Bumper Crop? Does it have an N-P-K rating? Is it synthetic? You should be able to feed rooted clones with no ill effects. What do your plants look like?

FFOF seems to smack seedlings upside their heads before they grow out of it to become nice plants. I wouldn't try to improve on anything you already have, everything looks good.

One tip though, for those who haven't tried it for one reason or another. Mix your OF with coco, half and half. I have had really good results with the soil and coco mix. The soil has just enough nutrient in it so I don't have to add very much except in flower, and even then, I don't have to use very much nutrient at all even during flower. It holds moisture great and drains really well too. I keep my runoff PH around 5.8-6.5 with good results.

bumper crop is an organic mix of different composts, worm poo, etc... Heavy stuff.

they new growth on the plants is funky looking on some, while others are just fine. Almost like they are reveg'in

I start all clones/seedlings in ocean forest with a shot of FF perlite.

Be careful with the Fox Farm POM Starter Mix. I once used that stuff at 1 Tbsp per gallon of soil and I placed 6 G-13/Hash Plants in that mix, and they would not grow for anything. Just real small, thin stemmed, and dark green plants that barely grew at all. I wont ever use that stuff again. But I still do use FF POM in other forms, I just won't use the Starter Mix ever again

I stick to ocean forest and have had zero issues so far - awesome stuff! I just mix it with a little perlite to help with drainage and use less soil - works like a champ!
