My micro setup

Hey Guys,

Thought I would post my setup here also. I will continue here with a journal of my first grow. So the setup is:

Tent: Mammoth Classic Micro 40x40x80(cm)
Inline fan: TD-160/100 N SILENT
Filter: Bull Filter 4"
LED: 2 x SANlight M30
Intake: 80mm cpu fan with dust filter and ducting.
circulating fan: 92mm cpu fan

Temps are at around 77 - 79 atm, I think I will add one more 92mm fan for the lights.

I will grow one plant in a 3 gallon smartpot. It will have about 65cm of vertical space so I will install a trellis net for scrog.

Cheers!

Good decision, if you dialed in with the strain you can get pretty nice yields with these lights.
But for me they are just not affordable.

Cant you place the left light more centered to the left?
i would get a rope, attach arround the fan and hang in your light, avoid vibrations at the light! Then you get both lights closer to the center.
you will have much more usable place to grow in!

The left light can be placed a bit more to the the left, so that its centered and the right one next to it. I am not sure if I need the 80mm intake fan, it might be enough with just passive intake. The only good thing is that I have a dust filter on it so no crap gets in.

Intake fan is cool is especially when you got a filter, when lights are centered i think you will get a nice grow running. But this has to bee done imho. you dont wanna loose reflection surface.

Already got some seed? Or Clone?

Ok cool, I'll keep the intake fan, I might add a second 92mm for the lights. Will se how temps are in the growing stage. If its too hot I will also replace the 80mm with a 120mm speed controlled, just to keep the negative pressure in the tent.
I have a few seed from Nirvana,
White Widow(auto), Supreme CBD Lemon(auto) and Bubblelicious(fem).
I think I will start with the WW auto just to get my feet wet first, this is my first grow after all. I have spent many months researching though, I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be :D

Haha great,

the same i did!

What light regimen are you going to use for the autos? 24/0 or 18/6 20/4 i got absolutely no experience with auto. Im very interested in the lights.
You ever seen them guys creating it? Real Nerdy guys! very sympathic! i think you wont be disapointed with the lightning. What Nutrients will you be using?

Yeah, those guys seems like they know what they are doing, really scientific about what is the ultimate grow light. Led Paradise recommended them and said that they are not a known brand but exceptionally good lights, especially for small spaces. I love that they come without fans, some high end brands that I have seen in stores advertised as lo-noice fans, are in fact extremely noisy.
The only down side is that they where a bit on the pricy side, 125$ each. That was by far the most costly part of the setup. It cost me about 450 to build this small space. But if I upscale I can still use the same stuff in a 60x60 maybe someday :)

I am going to use Advanced Nutrients, Grow, Bloom and Micro. I also got Big Bud, B-52, Overdrive and Voodoo Juice. Not sure I will be using all of them, at least the base nuts and Voodoo juice. Soil will be Canna Terra Professional with 20-30% perlite, it has a low base EC and PH 6.2. I will pop the seed straight in to the 3 gallon smart pot, and try to add the right amount of nuts as I go.

Yes sounds like i good plan. When will you be starting your seed?

Im using BioBizz Series, Bloom and Grow. Whats your tap ph? are you going to adjust?

I started originally on 12/12 fs, now trying to dial in perpetual with a second room

Good choice starting with the autos. I would suggest 20/4 light schedule though. I would also ditch the intake fan, that S&P fan is more than enough for that space. Where is the tent located? In the house, a closet, the garage? Good luck, growing is a very rewarding hobby.

I tried 4" smart pots in a micro grow (38"h x 18"w x 18"d, 9, 16watt 2700k leds; 12 volt 120mm fan +carbon scrubber) and developed a white mold on the vertical sides.
H2O2 knocked it down but I repotted them in 5" square plastic pots so I don't know if it was the dreaded "white" mold.

My next run was with airpots, no mold issues but water roots ran in to the res...I need to brainstorm a new airpot / self watering system, my grows need to be self watering for a week or more.
YMMV, good luck.

Thanks :D I might consider the 20/4 its just that everyone has there own pref it seems, some say 24/0 is the bets. Most books/e-books that I have read on the topic says 18/6 is the best :D The tent is under my table in my home office, haha.
I decided to install the intake fan and carbon filter behind the tent attached to the wall. Much more space int the tent now. I am also pushing through the carbon now and not pulling. I know some say its not as effective but considering I will only grow one plant, I think it can handle that.
I have a speed controlled waterproof 120mm cpu fan as intake now, I speed control it just so that there is a slight negative pressure in the tent, the intake fan is also quieter because of the extra help it gets from the intake fan. It also has a good dust filter to help keep dust and other crap out from the tent. With some ducting it also blocks the light out from the tent. I know its not a big deal with autos but I will also grow photoperiods at some point.
Lets hope something will grow in this space now, I have put so much time and effort planning it.

Hey guys,

Here is my plant growing nicely in my setup. She is a Supreme CBD Lemon OG Autoflower in the 4th week.
Had some problems in the beginning with yellow leafs but it was because I had the SANlight led too close to the plant, around 10 cm. Now I turned on the second one and moved them all the way up, the plant seems to like it. I will start doing some lite lst to her this week just pulling some branches away to get more light on the plant.
I wonder if she will stretch a lot. Will see, there is not a whole lot of space left :D

Got some floral wire today to tie her down and open up more bud sites to the light.

Top half of the soil is biobizz light mix and the bottom half is biobizz allmix. The only nutes I have been giving her is two biotabs at 2 weeks old and some orgatrex twice when watering.

I am trying to keep everything as simple as possible as its my first grow :)
