hi guys my mates got a problem hes just planted a few seeds that have just come though. top two leafs are just starting to open.he had them under a 125w nebular light for two days. but the tubes have gone in the light. hes got the chance to lend a 300w cfl. would this amount of light be to much for seedlings just coming though. terrier

Are they in a propagator? if so it would be quite easy to diffuse that light.
If not, clear plastic bags may be an idea. Place each into a clear bag until up a bit then remove. Be sure to tell your friend to ensure the lamp is raised.

Cant see problems unless too close.

Al 70 is probably right, but I would start with it 3' above till they're up then start lowering it about 6" a day. Good luck. -granger
