High Country you've come a very long way with your wonderful project brother. The seedlings look fantastic and healthy!! This was a great learning experience and I cannot wait to see what they look like with time :).

THE NEW FEMINISED MUMS

THE NEW FEMINISED MUMS

I haven't been doing any growing lately apart from keeping the new mums ticking over. I've kept 4 and given the rest away. They appear healthy and display the typical indica traits of the original plants. Here they are today.

So there you go, I'll do another SOG run with them in the future, At the moment I have enough to keep me going. Just have to be vigilant for spider mites. So home made feminised seed is viable and a handy way of keeping a favourite strain. All the best.

These are looking awesome HC,

What a primo CS experiment its been, cant wait for more in the future :D.

Cheers Afro.

Thanks Squiggles and Afro, these little CS feminized mums are growing with great vigor and putting out an amazing amount of lateral branches without any topping or other training methods.

They are growing in pretty normal potting mix with standard soil nutrients under a 430W Son T on a 15/9 light regime, just ticking over and enough light to stop them flowering.

I wonder how these CS plants clone? Might have to increase light hours, crank up the nutes, get them really growing. Could be time to get the CS girls ready for their first clone run.

Maybe, if I could be bothered, another SOG, single cola style of course?

Maybe I should try rockwool or some other medium for a change?

Time will tell, I like trying different things otherwise I get bored and lose interest with old, tried and proven ways.

Who knows, a SOG is reliable and pretty easy once you nail cloning, a SCROG I just find to messy.

There must be something else to try!

Mate there the tightest little girls i have seen, nice work.

BUNDY...

Sexy, full on indica mums, fertile and wanting to produce thousands of babies if a real male was in the mix.

But there isn't, these girls will have to wait until they get the real man juice. In the meantime they will be kept true to their origins through cloning. The female offspring will be genetically identical to the plants produced from seed many years ago. The family traits live on.

So with such a valuable plant, well I think so. cos it is such a rock solid performer, we can force it to reverse sex and it's offspring or it's mother can fuck it and produce seed identical to itself.

Female seed, there was no real male in the mix.

Genetics, cool stuff.

I often wonder if this CS method of propogation is good for the plant you hope to maintain true to the original. Maybe the process of sex reversal on one plant, followed by the production of pollen with no male chromosomes followed by sex with the she males daughter or mother produces something different to the original.

Surely this cannot be so. The xx chromosomes are identical to the original female plant. The CS plant has the same xx chromosomes. There are no xy chromosomes present. Therefore the seeds of the union between xx origanal stock and the CS male, containing xx pollen of the original can only be xx seeds of the original plant.

But maybe this "stress" of genetic mutation does something different to the offspring?

Whatever, It still gets me shit faced, I'm rambling.

Yeah second that one squiggles. Look how tight and fat she is! Great internodal spacing. She'd be a great breeder. Probably not the thing for my area in pure form, but I'd love to see her knocked up by some of the local fellas.

HC, this is a great thread, keep it up man!

This little gorl is staying a virgin for a bit longer yet. I want to maintain this pure indica form.

I love indica girls, especially this one.

This is a classic full on indica.

No sex thanks, this plant is maintaining it's purity for a bit longer.

how did the ladies out doors go HC ?

G'day shroomy, unfortunately the outdoor girls fell victim to the scourge of all outdoor growers around here, the Eastern Grey Kangaroo, either that or Sambar deer. There are heaps of them running around here. Chewed them up to a stump. Never mind, try again next spring with better protection.

In the meantime to a couple of doubters about the CS process here's some pics.

ALL PLANTS ARE DISPLAYING TYPICAL PRE-FLOWERS, THEY ARE ALL GIRLS

THIS PLANT HAS NOT BEEN TOPPED OR FIMMED IN ANY WAY, A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE INDICA, MULTIPLE CLONE SITES

These plants are now on an 18/6 light schedule and getting a feed of hydro veg nutes. I'll get them strong, healthy and hydrated. It's time to see how these CS mums clone, I suspect just like normal.

Good stuff HC! I'd bet on the "chaste" girls looking just like their mum(/dad). A real shame about the outdoor girls. Better do more target practice with that new toy.

Nice work HC loving how these CS girls arre coming along

Sorry to hear bout your outdoot grow man was looking forward to that.

Peace Afro.,

CAN THESE CS MUMS PRODUCE CLONES, LET'S FIND OUT!

CAN THESE CS MUMS PRODUCE CLONES, LET'S FIND OUT!

Time for a clone run. I'm going to use a Hiko tray and good old spagnum moss as the propagating medium, cut, dip in Clonex, trim and shove em in.

I was able to get about 12 clones off one plant alone which had not been topped, so I have plenty of potential clones left.

Give it about 3 weeks and with any luck we'll have 20 rooted and growing female clones. Then again they might just all die....but I doubt it.

very interesting thread.

nice work HC :tiphat:

Thanks GP73LPC, the clones of this feminized strain are still kicking. I am also cloning some in dirt to see what happens. I'll flower them out and that will be the full journey.

Bagseed full on indica I have kept for about 12 years, SOG grows, CS feminization, viable seed, will the clones root like they normally do.....I think they will, flower them out and see if they produce the same baseball bat colas as the original and keep the stable traits......I hope so.

If they do the thread is finished.....I might just flower these clones out in dirt.............single cola SOG style of course, 1000W!

More to come.
