Been taking a break from growing dope until my wife was able to talk to her doc and get us started down the path to legality. Whoo hoo!

Working on getting these damn mushies to grow. Working on it... After a couple weeks of not pinning, I did a little more digging and think I've got it under control now. Seeing some nice knotting starting through the verm casing layer over the cakes. Working with a few strains, all cubes. Got cambodian, amazonian, penis envy, b+, and golden teacher. Have a few more gt jars that aren't quite done colonizing yet - super soft and squishy on the outside when they pop out though - super thick, pure white myc. Beautiful. Got 3 gt's in the terrarium (2 64qt shotguns) - thinking I'll try to do a little bulk mix with these. Also have a 1pt b+ cake that's colonizing - thinking along the same lines for that.

Gonna go fan, mist, and grab a few pics to share.

Couple weeks of non pinning?? What did you mean by that?? You had your cakes in fruiting conditions for a couple of weeks?? They should have pinned.. Even the PE should have pinned.. PE takes the longest of those strains...

I was led astray a bit by too many people not knowing wtf they're talking about, having the box in a closet with very little light, and very very little misting. Got some sound advice and now I'm misting 4 times a day and fanning at least 6 times, they're in the open behind a south facing window with a mini blind that's opened for 15 minutes or so a day around noon to get some direct light. They're in 57-61f temps, but it's actually coming along nicely now - getting some nice knotting over the top of the verm roll on a few cakes. I know the temps are much less than ideal, but I've seen a lot of successful cake grows in cooler conditions. Might put them in a warmer room, but they would have to rely on a 7500k plant light on a timer. Thinking I'll do just that - seems like the fake light vs day light would be less of a concern than the cooler temps vs warmer temps.

Whatcha think TC?

Keeping my fingers crossed for christmas shrooms but I doubt it's going to happen.

Sorry - camera died last night, need to get some batteries.

when I mist these things - how much? I know a few times a day, but how much? do I want the verm layer to start drying out between mistings? I go through maybe a 1/2pt of water a day in the little spray bottle - is that too much? I'll usually give them 10 good sprays about 18" above the . They're always mildly damp, but you can't see any standing water or anything crazy like that. But should I be letting them go somewhat dry before misting them again?

I'm seeing some new myco growing over the verm layer, but it's mostly on the cakes that are sitting right next to the terrarium wall. I'd really like to have some mushies for new years at least. I'm starting to think that all you folks who have pics and say you can grow 'em are full of crap - lol... Sorry, just frustrated. Seen so many people doing just what it is that I'm doing and they have a lot of luck with them. I've got 5 different strains from 2 different vendors.

Moved them into the basement next door to the other kids. Put them under a grow light (see above) on a timer. 12/12. About 66 in the terrariums.

Merry Almost Christmas

I would get your temps up to about 70-75 degrese.. When you mist just make sure you saturate the cake but dont over-mist.. Also don't overfdan.. You wat to keep your humidity up...
