Ok, I see what you're talking about. If I left the air hoses and all of that I wouldnt have to do any fanning. They would be pushing fresh air through all the time unless I opened the valve and decided to recirculate the air inside the system. I have no problem at all ditching the perlite and black tubs though.

When they are colonizing make sure the fans are off.. Don't give them fresh air when the bins are colonizing, it could trigger a pre-pin.. The high level of CO2 is a big factor in colonization speed... So only use your fan system for fruiting... Doing this will ensure a fast fruiting stage..
Sorry forgot one thing... How much fresh air are you going to pull through those?? Too much fresh air will throw the humidity out of whack and may even cause drying of the substrate.. Normally you would fan the bings about 6 times a day or so... So you will have to figure how many times a day to pull fresh air into them.. I wouldn't run it constant unless you are sure you can keep the humidity up..

Sorry for not giving any updates lately. There hasnt been much to update until now. My first run I didn't get the h-poo leached enough so that didn't work out. Those were the Brazilians. The Cambo's are what you see here. I have been messing around with WBS and spawning but so far havnt had any luck. I'm getting closer and closer though. At first I was cooking the WBS way too long....I was super baked when reading the instructions. Next bag of seed I get I'm also getting the kind that has no cracked corn at all(it's been getting mushy.) Then I ran into a contam'd jar of Brazilian LC so I tossed it. I'm going to be knocking up another WBS spawn bag later today with some more Cambo's.

I see some Ryzos in there. goodluck!! Yes avoid corn at all costs.. I think it's terrible as spawn and in a substrate.. Altho Johnyhass a member on here has used it as spawn with decent results... You might want to tape over some of them holes while the bin is colonizing.. Alot of air is still getting inside them bins... CO2 buildup is imperative for fast colonization for a bulk substrate.. So if you have air just blowing all of it away it's not good..

Bulk Spawn Tek on the shroomery will have your yeilds 20x better in a single 6" tub of straw and horse poop.

but those jars sure are healthy, great work man!
