My leafs are growing buds woah....

Ive never seen this before, my leafs are growing buds

Thoughts?

I believe some strains just do that and I've heard of this happening from using too much superthrive

The first plant I ever grew was from some mexican bag seed a long time ago, and it did that. I think I remember reading that has something to do with a chinese landrace if you go far enough back. I am not able to dig around at the moment, so don't take that as fact, but I THINK that's right.

its a genetic thing... there is a name for it... don't remember it though, I would have to look it up in a breeding book.

calyx or "bud" is just the mutation of leaf cells, in the first place, that grow curled in on themselves to create a little pod for the ovum which will (under natural circumstances) be pollinated and grow into a seed.

it looks cool thats about it...

I had a Hash Plant do that on a few fan leaves. It's not that uncommon.

I have had that happen with many strains, I think it is genetics but it only popped up after breeding projects and getting into the f2-f4 areas and running a ton of phenotypes.

I have never been able to breed it out though BUT have always tried to, clone it but for it to duplicate or spread is next to never ( from my experience at least ).

Yah wish the pics would be a little larger, if you look at my gallery you can see them larger and they are super frosted. Abnormally frosted.

Had this happen before - I forgot which strain did it... It's so Strange...!! Also heard it was the Chinensis (chinese) Gene that is often resposible for this trait.
