My last grow (mexican, Skunk#2, burmese&FI, JackHererF2xSour)

Ok, this is my last grow, I no longer have that cardboard growbox , got upgraded now . The large one is a mexican sativa that I called "mexican skunk" because it was just reeking of skunk even in the seedling stage, later turning to a very distinct unusual scent, something like a Chinese ointment that was available long time ago where I live.

Anyways, the rest are Burmese&FuckingINcredible from Vancouver Island Seeds, along with Skunk#2 and a personal F1 hybrid of JackHererF2 and a sour strain that I got from a friend that identified it as "really bad ass chron", and I figured it was some kind of "Sour" strain as it just smelled REALLY SOUR after curing, having a slight amonia scent when fresh. It was kick-ass chron nonetheless, loaded with fat trichs and knocking your ass down to the couch only after 2-3 tokes.

Anyways, as I'm a nerd when it comes to weed characteristics , I have to post some descriptions and smoke reports:


Jack Herer F2
Smell of bud: very ripe peaches doubled with a black pepper spiciness
Smoke taste and texture: earthy, not especially tasty and a bit harsh
High: delayed entrance, it starts kicking in after about 15-20 minutes; all in the head, meditative, cognitive introspection, slightly trippy sometimes; the last time I smoked it I was watching some political issues in the news and somehow my mind was making sense of some of the not-so-obvious subtleties of the issues involved
Effect on eyes: almost no eye redness

the "Sour"
Smell of bud: when fresh: not much smell, only a slight but very obvious hint of amounia; 3-month cure: very sour, acrid; over 3 months cure: taking on a "grassland wild flower" hint
Smoke taste and texture: tasty, hashy, consistent, lung-expanding, like standard-grade bud
High: quick hitter, max 5 minutes; STRONG is the fittest word for it, you feel stoned but you can't fall asleep; at first it gives you a STRONG headrush, your brain being energized with cranial sensations such as if you had the cold blade of a knife stuck in your brain, while your body feels overpowered; it's the only herb that gave me dreams after managing to fall asleep; during comedown the cranial sensations turn into some pleasant tingles while you fall asleep slowly as you're overcome by thoughts that may turn into dreams; anyways, it is not one of my favourites, as I'm not as much fond of the mind-dazzling headrush that it starts off with
Effect on eyes: medium eye redness

Burmese&FuckingIncredible
Smell of bud: very, very stanky especially when fresh; exotic, a combination of strong mango and skunk/hash
Smoke taste and texture: purely awesome, the best smoke I have ever had, it has a clear minty taste and it is so smooth that you don't even feel it in your lungs whatsoever, can't imagine how it would taste in a vaporiser
High: kicks in after ab 10 min; very special mellow high that makes you reminisce about good old times, past feelings of love, makes you kinda romantic, perfect for a romantic evening with your other half ; It is one of my favourite weeds, definately worthy of the Toker's Bowl prize won in 2003 if I correctly recall..
Effect on eyes: slight eye redness

the Mexican sativa
Smell of bud: not much smell, only a bitter "freshness" scent, grassy, although the seedling smelled quite consistently of skunk, and the main stalk and stems when rubbed left a strong "Chinese ointment" scent on my fingers
Smoke taste and texture: horrible; bitter and quite harsh; apparently the lack of terpene oils in the resin only left the bitternes of chlorophyl in the smoke to taste
High: holy shit! in spite of the dissapointing characteristics above, the high is quite distinct; an all-sativa high that resumes itself to "inspirational", "artistic sense-stimulating", very good for artistic creation activities or art critique
Effect on eyes: almost no eye redness

Skunk #2
Smell of bud: fruity freshness, a combination of canelope and strawberry, interestingly not-skunky at all
Smoke taste and texture: sweet, consistent
High: quick hitter; euphoric-stoney, even body-head, not an especially distinctive high
Effect on eyes: medium eye redness

Beautiful pics man ! I have a mexican sativa that I have been fooling around with for years and like you say its kind of hard but its an incredible high!

What kind of camera? I bought one from some transiant in a parking lot for $40 but it is not working very good. IT came with a 256mb card though! Thats good aint it?
Kinda new to Technology... still pimpin the polariod!

My cam is a cheap one too, and I picked it up for ab. $90 at a Wallmart several yrs back, during my journeys to the "newland" . It's a "Concorde" (heard it's made by Kodak) and it's got 4 megapixels (nothing impressive compared to what you can find nowadays).

The quality of the pics is partly due to the pictaker's technique.. I don't know, I just kind of circle around looking for the best angle and wait until it focuses best..

Hey Doc, at the moment I don't have any more smoke reports, at least highs that impressed me to the point where I can describe them in detail, but there was this herb I smoked in Amsterdam that was awesome, I was hearing music in my brain (random, drum&bass type of beats in my brain) plus, I was totally "lost in the key-hole" sort-of speak,... too bad I can't remember what it was, all I remember is it was something "red"... "Red [something]".. definately sativa

Anyways, as far as growing I'm finnishing up my new grow closet, it has about 5-6 sq ft horizontal space and its' 5ft 7" tall, so.. as soon as I'll have plants in there, I will post pics..

Well ... there's a trick to it too.. you see, those close-up pics are just small parts that were cut out of the original size picture (as taken by the camera, and is about poster-size --> 30-40mb each pic, right after I dowload'em onto the computer).

Then, I open them with Photoshop, set to 100% zoom, cut out the close-up part, which I keep at its original size (since it's gonna be small). Then, I resize the overall picture to like 30% in order to save space, and upload easily onto websites.

Oh, and I also use the "Sharpen" filter in Photoshop on the close-ups to sharpen them up a bit.
