It took about 5 hours to make but that's cause it was my first one, I want to make a version #2 that is made from the nicer wood I have lying around, not plywood. I need to test it out with my upcoming harvest to see if it can keep humidity around 48%.
Also, on the next one I build I'm making the door swing like a normal door... in case i want to crack it open for fresh air, that way all shelves will get even air distribution and not just the lower racks. Plus, I wont have to use a prop...I think I might just modify the current one by taking off the hinges and moving them if possible.
This one only has one plexi-glass for collecting fallen trichomes and plant matter, which goes on the bottom. I think I'll add in three to my next one cause i doubt trichomes from the top drying rack will fall all the way to the bottom.
Overall, I'm satisfied so far with it as a rough draft, just want to use different screws next time for drilling in the tracks cause they are visible on the outer sides like crazy. Hopefully it wont get too dry/humid inside it - May need holes drilled or a cpu fan added for sucking air out and letting it ease in through gaps/tiny cracks every 15 minutes or so.
Anyways, thought I'd share - if enough people like it I'll build my second one and make a tutorial for those that have the tools.
Also, any suggestions/advice on what i should do for my next one would be nice... I was thinking of using alaskan cedar for the next one to kind of give the cannabis that nice smell!

I'll go get more pics in a sec.... these are from before i added metal screening.
EDIT 3/3/2010: My next project wont just be a nicer wooden box, but my original plan: to make a plexiglass one, 90% plexi - i figured this would be a bad idea cause light could get in.... but it has no leaching smells and would work great! Perhaps plexi with a mat black surface coating (film preferably so that paint smells don't linger) on the outside and a few windows to peer in through. Hot glue the screens into the plexi frames. IDK, just throwing out some ideas for others to try out or if it's a good/bad idea before i do it.
