I have been growing for 30 years, with the last seven focused on No-Till Living Soil indoors. Over the past years, I have also integrated KNF techniques. My setup is designed to maintain a perpetual grow cycle while staying within legal limits (German CannG).
The setup consists of five tents, divided into nursery and main tents, with an additional outdoor space for KNF inputs and genetic testing.

Indoor Setup
Nursery Tents (Propagation, seedlings, drying, and isolation)
- Clones: 60×40×60 cm tent with an aerocloner for up to 20 cuttings or a Humidity Dome for root plugs (30W LED)
- Seedlings & Keeper Clones: 60×40×60 cm tent for freshly rooted clones and seedlings in small pots, hand-watered (30W LED)
- Drying & Isolation: 60×60×90 cm tent, primarily for drying harvested plants but occasionally used for isolating plants during breeding projects (60W LED, Blumat drip irrigation)
- General Utilities: I keep everything in stock and clean, from Pathogen tests, Cannabinoid tests, scissors, to hangers, SCROG nets, whatever you might need.
Main Tents (Vegetation and flowering)
- Vegetation: 80×80×180 cm tent for a single plant during its vegetative phase (125W LED, Blumat drip irrigation)
- Flowering: 120×90×180 cm tent holding two plants at different stages, spaced 4-5 weeks apart (250W LED, Blumat drip irrigation)
Outdoor Setup
- Two 120×80 cm raised beds on a balcony, mainly used for cultivating plants for KNF inputs and testing genetic resilience in an outdoor environment. Due to limited sunlight, they are not suitable for full-cycle outdoor cultivation.
Perpetual Grow Cycle
German laws allow for an unlimited number of seedlings and clones, but only three mature plants. To comply with these regulations while maintaining efficiency, I use the following rotation:- One plant in vegetation
- Two plants in flower, staggered 4-5 weeks apart
- Harvest approximately once per month
Setup Adjustments and Observations
- The current LED fixtures are eight years old but continue to perform well, making upgrades unnecessary due to the 50g dried flower possession limit.
- During selection cycles, the standard rotation is paused to focus on pheno-hunting and evaluation.
- The setup is continually optimized, with ongoing improvements to conditions and workflow efficiency.
