Alright my grow room is in an attic...and daily temps with a heater are good...but when the lights go off the temps drop from around 75 to around 40.....and i havent used a heater at night... but my question is? i have blankets closing off the room from the outside air...and they dont seem to hold out the coldness..Is there anything else i can use and put up to make it a little warmer in there...I just need some help with some warming techniques or things to do??? thanks

How about switching your lights on during the night? so the warmth from the lights heats the room?

Then during the day it won't be so cold.

Easy, vent from your veg room into the flower room. Hot air will raise your temps.

Use a light trap? not hard to do, or put 2 90 degree corners in some ducting connecting the 2.

But using a small propane heater would be best seeing as your other room is not too warm. Something like this:

Also the added CO2 would be beneficial for your grow.

I feel ya. In the summer my garage is 105 - 120F and in the winter it used to get in to the 10-20F range. As my cabinets are in there it was tough. So flower at night and in the winter I run a terribly inefficient electric heater to keep it in the 40F range. I have been using heat mats in the veg cabinet and a self regulating heating cable in the flower chamber. If you are above freezing at canopy I think the root zone temp is most critical. I am no expert on the temp thing I just try to survive. I think I will build a custom AC for the flower chamber next summer.

Best of luck to ya.

I run my cab in my outdoor shed and I put a little space heater right at my intake. I run my Vortex fan 24/7 and have the thermostat for the space heater inside the cab. If the temp drops in the cab, the space heater kicks in and brings up the temp. Works like a charm, until the the space heater f's up and burns down my shed. But, hey, what's life without a little risk?

This is the little heater I use:

It is a Lakewood brand heater that is sold at Walmart. I've been using this brand for about 3 years now with no problems at all. They are all metal and are guaranteed safe. They do the job, just set it at your intake and put the thermostat in the grow room. Easy peasy.
