my grow/my idea

Alright, first of all i've gotta show you my plants, pictures taken yesterday, they're approx a month into 12/12 after a month of veg from bagseed, under about 80 watts of fluorescents (i'm a microgrower).

Please do not tell me about the yellowing leaves, they're flowering and its natural for the lowest to yellow and die, the buds directly beside them are very very healthy green. The flash from the camera also made the yellow look more extensive, it's marginally better than that.











And then my idea. Alright, well i was thinking about common, natural things you could potentially add to regular soil to make it better.. in any number of different ways, and i came across the idea of grass seed.

Grass seed is going to be nutritious for the soil and also act well for water retention. If you could boil alot of grass seed for however long it takes to kill it... then you should be able to add it fairly easily to the soil in large quantities.

I dont know whether that would actually help, I haven't tried it, but i was going to grow mushrooms in it one time and i got it all ready, thats what gave me the idea for weed.

Anyways, give me your thoughts on the plants and the idea.

Do you have any ambition to step the wattage up to maybe a 150 or 250 HID?

About how much dry manicured bud do you yeild from that setup and how often?

It's my first time trying this way so i'm not sure of the yeild or time.

They're barely over 2 months old right now, they probably wont need more than another month, perhaps less for penny lane.

They are pretty frosted, i've sampled them and they certainly do the job very well, already comparable to anything i could buy a joint of around here.

Thankyou for the compliments, i had a pretty in depth grow diary on overgrow. I've still got the pictures, but i've lost everything i wrote about them.

The plants are incredibly small, so the light isn't really an issue for them, the leaves are dark, healthy green and only one of the plants has had any health problems whatsoever (random, dead, dried and brown buds in places, just a tiny pinch of bud.. dead on the stem with living buds all around it at the same budsite).

I've definitely got ambitions, but currently i haven't had to spend any money on this setup, everything i already had including seeds leftover from last year (which was my first year growing).

The buds swell by the day, penny lane is starting to reek.

you can buy some really cheap HPS/MH lights not usually sold for growing but does the job just the same... www.e-conolight.com they dont come with plugs but all you need to do i just cut open a extension cord and connect the wires.

Ideally most mediums would be inert. I dont get the impression that grass seed processed in any way would result in the final product being inert. I suspect that after attempting to sterilize it the seed would start to rapidly break down and cause problems.

wow, that website really does have some fuckin cheap lights. Thats incredible their 400w hps is less than the lights i'm using originally cost.

Well, i'm fine with what i've got for now, i'll definitely upgrade at some point, i just wanted to show you all it was possible.
