My God, "stomach medication"

I stay away from pills, especially the prescribed ones :joint:

Lately I puked some blood, so I got prescribed Ranitidine, now I don't want to take them , but I could have a stomach ulcer or a tear in my stomach..

Now what scares the shit out of me is this

Minor side effects
constipation, diarrhea, fatigue, headache, insomnia, muscle pain, nausea, and vomiting. Major side effects are rare; they include: agitation, anemia, confusion, depression, easy bruising or bleeding, hallucinations, hair loss, irregular heartbeat, rash, visual changes, and yellowing of the skin or eyes.

-------

I understand that they have to write this shit for their protection, but I'd rather heal naturally instead of pump this unnecessary crap to me. Damnit

The only pills I take - a multivitamin, and some Milk Thistle

All this prescribed designer shit disgusts me :(

Keep smokin :smoker:

I'm a little apprehensive about pharma too but I've used ranitidine for years without any apparent adverse effects. Clearly you and everyone out there can react differently to it than I do but for what it's worth I've suffered none of the above side affects.

I dont trust pharmaco either... too risky. try and find natrual alternatives if you can. Did the Doc tell you what it was or do they not explain things to you and just tell you to take the stuff?

Smell, I've read articles here & there stating that greens (cabbage, kale, broccoli, spinach, etc) being so low in acidity are exellent foods to eat while waiting for ulcers to heal, and have healing properties as well.

See if you can't find yourself a holistic doctor, they'd be a benefit if you don't want to cram the pharmaceutical industry's pills down your throat.

Another reason to find a holstic doctor---The only hebal treatment for ulcers that I know of is an old Russian remedy (Bilberry) There's probably plenty of good alternatives out there, you just need to find someone who knows their ins & outs.
