My Fluoro (Start to Finish) Sea of Green

I decided that with the space I have (about 22"L X 48"W x 50"H) that sea of green would be something cool to try. I figure I can fit about 25-30 2 gallon grow bags into my cabinet. So far I've got 87 seedlings with a few more on the way. Below are my plans and setup:

Setup
Lighting: Custom Fluoro Rack - 11 x 32W T8 Cool White Tubes (30800 Lumens)
Starting Medium: Half in peat pellets, half in Fox Farm Light Warrior
Grow Medium: Fox Farm Light Warrior
Containers: 2 Gallon white reflective grow bags
Fertilizers: Pure Blend Grow for veg, Fox Farm Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom for flower

Plans
Veg with 2/3 of the lights running on 24/0 for 2-3 weeks (depending on how big they get)

Switch to 12/12 and begin to sex plants, take the strongest females if I have too many for my space

Pictures coming soon!

rather then doing a sog from seeds, it would be better to do some mother hunting a find a female that show desirable traits for SoG (fairly good stretch and main cola dominent with little side branching) then once you have a desirable mama do an all clone sog for a nice even canopy and a good sea of colas, just my thoughts on the matter.

SOG is only efficient from clone....unless of course you have massive amounts of seeds at your disposal...and even then...clones are the only way man... only smart way at least... you need consistency and fast growing plants in a SOG... heres a shot of a 32 plant SOG i did under 16 T8's... its a damn efficient way to grow and can be ridculously productive given the footprint of the setup... (remeber you can stack grows with these lights)... but yea...take the advise....get yourself a mommy developed...you'll be happy you did..

I did SOG for quite awhile....and I agree with the others. Find your female first....then grow nothing but female clones.

Hey DubPhiend, How many grams do you average per plant, while doing that style of SOG?

young giver....anywhere from about 7-12 grams.... soo...i can fit 40 of those plants under the rack.... anywhere from a half a pound to a pound total yield...strain plays a big role.... that was White Rhino which wasnt a great yielder for me (i grew it 4 consecutive times and it performed fairly consistent).... and i average prob slightly over 7 grams per bud....def on the lower end of the potential...

but you also play the game....higher density...smaller buds but more of them...and bigger SOG plants... more space....maybe bigger buds but less of them....so it becomes a trial and error to see what works...

EDIT: just to point out...the large plants did yield a tad bit more weight per plant....prob like 9-11 grams on average...however... the difference was pop corn bud and hard to trim stuff...so for me... i like the shorter plants with no veg time... a few less grams per plant but literally a breeze to trim....my last ebb and flow grow which yielded a lil over 12 oz's took me hour and hours to trim.... i got 9oz's from that SOG grow in soil, but i trimmed that right hand side in about 10 minutes....i absolutly love those plants...and also... i really didnt even need the supports...i put them in just as a precaution soo... i know you didnt ask for all this but....i thought id provide some rhyme to my reason....
