After a loooooong break from the stress full and tedious:frown: routine of stealth growing, always looking out for some deal or piece of equipment that can somehow make your grow better, always making do with what you can find, not able to order or buy with cc due to legal issues,:wallbash: well goodbye to all that mess.

 Im too old anyways, to be messing around with all that. Let you young people do that.

So, as I navigate my way thru the world of medical cannabis, the ins,:headbanger: outs  , and dissapointments, :badday: I find my self at a very nice hydro store, cc in hand, medical card in wallet, plants at home. Hmmm.

Never have I been into one of these placs.:jawdrop:. Coolest thing ever.

Nice people, very knowledgeable, didnt push any one product, just asked what my needs where, and showed me what I was looking for, plus alot of info.

My current grow, pics coming when I find my dam transfer cable to my camera, was coming along fine, although I learned hps , although just 100watt, is not a cfl. Nothing bad.

Bagseed, seems to be indica dominant, started under cfl, under hps 100w, dc brushless fan, temps 70, closet, superthrive, ff grow big, dr. earth, liquid karma, alaska fish ferts, ro water from the dry cleaners, they have a 24 hour disp for 25cent/gallon.

Natures gold organic soil, perliet, worm castings, trying to stay as organic as I can now.Not alot of room at the moment.

But, I had ph problems. One plant is doing the tube leaf boogie right now.

So, I picked up some Fox farm grow big, some liquid karma, and some ph ^ down, so I can fix my water and eventually fix the soil, its not to bad, 7 I think, base it tonight.

I fed last night, they where standing up on tip toes by middle of thier day, that ff is no joke.

The other plants that were starting to cup a little all relaxed thier leaves, that stuff is great.

I read round here liquid karma is good for ph stress.Ive never had access to proper nutes, just chems and soil.

So this will be not my first grow, but the first one I can actually allow the plant to express its genes by providing whats needed to allow her to do that.

Should be interesting,(too me anyway) Ill post my pics here soon, got plenty of them. :joint:

Thanks for stopping by if you actually read all that.

Forgot to mention, the guy was cool enough to give me a an shirt, and some not for re sale flower supplement that when used thru flower is said to increase crystal and resin production, and help flavor, but the side affect of increasing the purple color in plants, and helping to onset if if its not there.

Sample bottle, some humbolt company, called purple maxx, I think, its locked in the closet now.

It said it was formerly stacker, and re mixed and changed with stacker formula, and other stuff. We will see, also he gave me 10 percent discount, all in all good guy.

This ff and liquid karma are no joke. Correcting my ph allowed my plants to better use the food in the soil, and they have more than doubled in size since my first application.

Cant wait to get the other 2 bottles in the grow big trio, and I will stick with liquid karma as it has alot of things maxi crop and other helpers have, but the price is ok by me.

Like I said before, this is my first grow with proper nutes, and the difference is something to behold.

Ive got plenty of pics showing the before and after, just have to wait till IC gets thier new software together I guess. :frown:

Somewhat cronological, smaller to bigger lets say that. Shots of my ballast, undergrowth, the dates are a day off on the pics so pay no mind, im at 23 days now.

The shot of the bulb in the box was early on, no heat probs, but they couldnt breathe with the wind tunnel I was hitting that hps with.

That box was never meant to grow in, just a clone chamber, with a 15 watt circular cfl, but I started this grow in haste, and Ive been playing catchup since then, not too bad though.

FF and liquid karma are great, as you can see I got a straggler, ph problems the twisted one is gone, wasnt gonna ever make it, the other little one bettter do some growing quick, as space is becoming a hot commodity at the moment.

Ive the wood to make a better cab, just not the money to go mills pride,or I would. Ill make a box this weekend, after I look for a job. :cuss:

Anyway, enjoy the pics, finally could load them, thanks website support, for a free site you do a great job keeping us happy. As we can allow ourselves to be.

Dam, picks down again, whos looking anyway. I threw the smallest one In the group of pics into flower, I found white stuff on the pellet its sitting in the dirt in, not sure if its perlite dust, or mold.

So I just stuck it in a dark container, just to see what sex it was, I wont put it back with the others.

Dont matter, no room in my closet for runts anyway.

Down to 4 from six, they are doing well, 2 are doing better, ph problems in the begging kinda weeded out the week.

I watered them all today with plain ph water, hoping to further correct ph in soil without over doing anything.

These are thriving, only can imagine what they would be like if I had phed my water from start, and ff.

But, everything else is going along, soon the other 150 hps will go up, along with plenty of cfl for side lighting in flower. All very indica, wich I like alot.

Need pain relief, not looking to smoke cannabis to find head discombobulation, I look to bubble hash for that.

Will have small clone/veg, so I can keep plants ready to flower as soon as others are done, you know. One plant in particular, the bushiest and biggest, is I hope a female if no others are, it is showing very hardy genes, nice shape, good undergrowth, will be my mother if its a girl.

Heres to hoping. :joint:

Pics, day 24, 15/9, will fix date on pics, Last night.

The smallest one is the one I thought I saw mold on the pellet, it was not useing water as fast as the others, so I just am curious to see what sex it is, after that its a humane destruction.

That white stuff you found on the pellet could just be calcium/magnesium precipitating out from the water, No quick way to tell unless yu scope it.

a tsp of dolomite lime/per gallon of soil will give you a nice stable ph. What are you planning on feeding ur girls during flowering?

Hey virginbud, thanks for popping in.

The small plant in the last update of pics is the one with the suspicious white stuff on the pellet you can see it in the pics, no other plant has that.

Ive always used jiffy pellets, this is the first Ive ever seen this kind of whiteness, but Ive never mixed so much perlite in before, but the others not showing it worries me.

They are all using the water and nutes I give them, but the little ones soil is moist longer, ph problems hit it sooner, I should have thrown it out cause it was small, but I hate doing that.

I mixed some concentrated neem oil I have with water, sprayed it down to see if it stopped it, but I also separated it from my others, not taking chances and there would not be alot of room for a sickly plant.

It also has some rusting aruond the leave tips, I assume def from ph lock. But , we know what assuming gets us.

Hello crackaddict, cold down in the bay this time of year yet? I plan on using the foxfarm grow big trio, with liquid karma and purple maxx.

I plan on getting into the dolomite and dry soil supplements when I have more soil to re use, and a bigger spot to let it cook for a week. Even a worm bin.:joint:

I read that dolomite is great for ph, and that it is a long term additive, slowly releasing thru more than one grow. I want to stay organic as much as I can, but for now Im using a ph up down from an AN.

Just a drop will fix a gallon. I just hung my lights by chain tonight, installed an 150 hps along side my 100 hps. Cab slowly coming together, I started this grow without anything together, wich forced me to get busy. :bashhead:

Come flower time, close to 300w w/cfl that I have. :headbange Ill post pics of my new light set up later tonight, my back is toast from messing with this grow. :rasta:

Hey man,
they look fine to me.

Give the runts a chance before determining sex, as you never know what the others will turn out. Might save you some weeks.

good luck with it

This is the worst a grow has ever gone. :badday: My plants are all showing signs of lockout/def, with leaves dying off left and right. I thought at first it was some kind of mold, but I used neem oil, kept watch, it doesnt spread like mold, and it looks to me like a def caused by ph problems in the soil. I had organic planting soil, and worm castings sitting in my tupperware thing for about 8months, I guess something changed in there, or maybe my water. I bought ph testing kits for my water, but I dont have one for the soil, nor the means to get one now, still looking for dam job, and drug tests arent even a problem. It starts looking like little dark spots, some look like mold, but its not powdery, neem oil doesnt touch it, it doesnt spread to direct contact to other leaves. This is bad, I am not sure I should even be trying to flower these, only one looks healthy, all switched to 12/12 for about a week now. One plant is all nice, with a few signs of this problem, the others never got as big as the one, and got ravaged by it. I just dont know, I can pick up clones at one of my clubs, but I need cash wich i dont have now, but I dont need to be flowering these plants for 30 days if they are going to not make it. Tuff call for me now, I need advice.

they look a little bit overwatered - are you letting them get fairly dry before watering? If it aint dry, don't apply :D

they also might be a little bit overfed - I'd give em plain, pH 6.3 water next time they're dry.

goood luck!

Took a small clone from lower braches of the healthiest plant, hoping its a girl, should be showing in about the next 3 days, been in 12. for about 1 week or so now.

No cloning powder, just a jiffy pellet, a little plastic humidity dome, and a desk lamp w/ modem for heat, cmfl in lamp.

Ive rooted single clones like this before, takes about 9 days, not too bad if your in a hurry.

Maybe I can do a better job with the clone if its a girl, I know for a fact the mother had a good tolerance to ph problems, while the others just didnt at all.

Allright, I came to a decision about this fkd up grow.:Badday:

I culled all but one, the largest, took clones from 3, all confirmed females.Im hoping to get about a half oz from the female I do have left, ph is starting to get better for her, but Im not even trying with her, just going to feed weak and let her finish, every thing else is in 24\0 veg.

Once shes done, I can use my main cab for veg, but thats what you get for starting a grow like I did, un planned and on the fly.:spank:

The first clone I rooted on the modem under the desk lamp is rooted, and I have 7 sensi star seeds I got from one of the local cannabis clubs.

They are about 7 days old, and doing much better than the last bagseed grow was at this point.

Ill be done with this thread, and only keep the pics in my gallery that give a good example of ph problems, maybe it can help some one, though I doubt this thread will see the light of day again .

Thank you for all who popped in, I can assure you this sensi star grow, and the subsequent revenge of the high ph bagseed clones will be a much more entertaining thread, maybe even educational.

I doubt that last part. :joint:
