My first couple attempts at indoor growing

Hello icmag,

I've been creeping this forum for quite sometime, soaking in lots of really good information. I've had a couple seasons growing outdoor with great success with a few friends, but have always wanted my own personal supply all year round. So in the fall when I finally ran out of my stash from the outdoor 1 year before. I decided to start playing around with a micro cfl setup. Anyway heres what I started out with old ikea dresser that I had lying around.

Inside dimensions of the dresser are 28.5"Wx31"Hx14"D

first plant

I got 5 ak47 feminized seeds from a local breeder and started out with just germinating 2 as I was afraid of overfilling my space. in hindsight I should of started all 5. The 2 seeds germinated fine and than went into MG soil. they both srouted but 1 was a runt with stunted growth that never grew past its first 2 spike leaves, so I was left with just one plant vegging out. I vegged this for 4 weeks just to find out it was a male! understanding little about feminized seed at the time i was somewhat frustrated. I figure my temps were to high and resulted in a male plant. Despite it being male I flowered for a few weeks while I sprouted my last 3 seeds.

just a shot of the lst'ing i was doing to the plant around 3 weeks:

Shot of it growing in the cab:

A couple weeks before I cut it:

Male Bud Porn! ahaha

On a side note from the growing. I did not throw this male plant out I instead looked up if I can use it for cooking and read several threads about people making butter from male plants. Believe it or not this plant made some chronic butter. less than a teaspoon on a couple pieces of toast made me totally fried for 4 hours was really surprised the first time. got a couple batches of brownies out of the butter i made.

Last 2 plants

Last 2 plants

So out of the 3 seeds I had left only 2 popped. I vegged for less time and tried my best to keep the temps lower. and both ended up being female. I than transplanted them into some hempy buckets i made from folgers coffee cans and used the KISS method with maxibloom. all was going well until I left my window open a crack while i was at work the week after transplanted. it was winter so they were subjected to near freezing temps for about 10 hours. So after my huge cold shock they the had extremely stunted growth, and really close node spacing along with a bunch of mutated looking tips.

Didnt take any photos throughout this time and this is what I have about 1 week ago, around week 7-8 in flower.

This one was closer to intake and got really screwed over by the cold

Also both plants have self pollinated and have some seed through out. I believe this is from the cold shock and or possibly some light leaks. but whatever hopefully ill get some free seed out of it and something to smoke.

Pretty dissapointing for 3-4 months of growing and not expecting much of a yield.
That about sums up what I`ve done so far. I`m planning a major overhaul of the dresser in an over the next couple months to address a lot of problems i`ve had.

Thanks for taking a peek at what I`ve started.
