My extractor fan is weak! help! have I wired it wrong?

Hey all, I recently purchased a 600w aircooled super nova and a 125mm extraction kit, my problem is that the fan is weak!! its an rvk fan but boy its not good. I'm currently growing inside a homemade air-tight grow tent and my temps are ranging from 87-101 during lights on.

If I kept my temps around 87 would that be ok? I know that I should keep them between 75-85 lights on?

Could it be that I have wired the fan up wrong, I think I might have put the positive wire in the negitive terminal and vice versa, would the fan even work if I did this?

Many thanks in advanced
Joe

If your room is sealed Air Tight that could be your issue. The fan can't suck out what isn't replaced. You might want to add a nice sized intake if you don't have one already.

If your do have proper intakes maybe you just got a shitty fan? any obstructions corners or carbon filters that are inline that would reduce flow?

sharp pain has it right !!!!!!!!!!

Pick up a beer bottle, put it to your lips and "suck" on it----------get the idea? Just like your air tight grow tent, no air flow.

Hey guys thanks for the comments, I see where your coming from and I think I'll cut a hole in the side and put a fan blowing air in.

But my when I tested my fan before I put it into the box it was weak, could the wiring do this?
Peace all

If the fan is a 120/240V model it could then be wired wrong however I suspect that you have to realize that those little fans don't put out much air to begin with. Especially if they are the type used in bathrooms.

just cut some holes in your at the bottom of your tent for passive intake.

cut 4x5 ins holes in your tent and you should be good.
