My Equipment Question *Pics*

Well first off, this Carbon filter came with my MH ballast and light, for 200 bucks, so i took it, not knowing much about it, but that i could use it..


My Question to you guys, is this the size of this filter, what size of room is it good for?, the other side is plugged off ( Never seen one so i assume this is the way it goes ) , so just hook up a 6" fast to clean the smell within the room eh? Do most people connect these to there exhaust system ?

How do you tell if the filter is bad? Looks like new..



Second Topic, My bulb, the guy i bought this from said the bulb was a Full spectrum bulb, so CHM bulb?

How would i confirm this with going off what the bulb says?

Stupid Question, as i ordered the damn Nutes myself, but 6 months ago i just bought these w/o thinking much of them, but these Flora/Bloom/Micro is the Chemicals for Lucas formula correct?

bloom and micro are what are used in the lucas formula and u leave the grow out all together seems to work out great.
if u were to put pics or model # of filter up it would be helpful in identifying it.
the only way to know if its used up is if it lets smell out through the exaust .

I think when you where posting is when i added the pics, i had a problem the first time.

i also dont see any marking on the filter to determine the model, any idea where to look? No visual yet.

ok i see u put pics up as i was typing it looks like a can 150 thats been cleaned real well or has not been used much if it was me buying it i would take the chance on it.
u hook the filter to a duct then to the light then a duct from light to the fan then out of room.
google the bulb and see what comes up

filter is a cann66, ferget the CFM but i use a 6in vortex with mine
the fan is slighty stronger than need be

and that kinda looks like a conversion bulb ??? dunno though​

Perhaps it is a conversion bulb, my ballast is MH, supports 1k

Hmm, The flange for the filter is 6" and the hood Flange for my hood is 4", Think reducing it will work ?


I also have a DiY Stanley Blower The Intake is 4" and ive modded the exhaust to be 6"

Im considering just buying a 6" Vortex fan, but again, my lights are 4" To exhaust the 1k bulbs.

CMH tops out at 400 watts so, it ain't that. The filter is plugged at one end to force all air through the sides, that's where the carbon is. Without the cap, the carbon would be bypassed.

those stanley blowers have a place in my garden too i have mine all running 6 " and either use them on a filter or lights have not tried both but they are pretty strong .
if i may make a suggestion try it with the 4" reducers mounted 2 the lights and use all 6" duct

Your saying Filter(6") > Reduce to 4" to cool light, then back to 6" out the blower?
