My double strawberry diesel grow!!!!

Hey guys all are welcomed to give any input and tips on making my first diesel ....more strains will follow soon as well.. :wink:

A few of my seeds popped in 24hrs using the paperplate method with a touch of superthrive mixed with h20...as soon as the tap roots were exposed... off they went into 16oz cups and a mixture of Foxfarms Oforest, scotts perlite and Vermiculate for extra drainage and better root development.Hopefully the soil wont be too hot for the younglings...but we will see under close observation..... for vegging the plants will be under 4 24in fluoro tubes in the 6500k spectrum...Im thinking of also adding some warm spectrum tubes in place of 2 of the other bulbs just to mix up the spectrum during the later vegging stages..


For flowering I will be using a 400w hps in a cooltube using a hortilux hps bulb
odor control will be handled by a canna filter connected via ducting to a 460cfm vortex fan...

Nutrients for vegging will be added only when needed since the soil itself contains a pretty good amount for the next 30days..As im trying to go as much ORGANIC as possible here are the nutes that will be used for the grow

vegging nutes are as follows
1. earth juice grow
2. earth juice micro blast (not organic) trace minerals
3. superthrive
4. biobizz alga-mic (liquid sea kelp)
5. earth juice ph up and down
6. botanicare's Cal/mag plus if needed
7 botanicare's liquid karma every other watering

flowering nutes
1. biobizz bloom
2. biobizz topmax
3. liquid karma
4. alga-mic
5. unsulphered black molasses if needed

also will be growing some basil, cilantro and mint....sorry for no pics yet guys but they will up very soon plz be patient....lol.....Thanks Uber...

ok guys checked on the babys and humidity was very low.....30 percent and soil looked pretty dry as a result I think....anyone have tips on raising the humidity levels? I heard a glass of water or in a tupperware inside my vegg cab should do the trick?.......

Hey UBER21,
I'm jumpin in... We have the same strain goin... Just poped 10 DSD 2 days ago myself and I use FFOF mixed 3parts to 2parts perilite...Your seedlings will absolutely love it. As for the humidity...small humidifiers are a must in a seedling room

this one was $40 and needs to be filled once a day and can easily maintain 95% humidity in a small space. I run my humidity around 70-75.

Thanks albert thats awesome man I will be checking ur grow out from time to time too...lol.....Damn 40 bucks money is really tight right now any cheaper solutions to raising the humidity????

You can find small humidifiers for as little as $20...the cup of water thing will work a little but it won't get you from 30 to 80. Plus once you add a small fan for circulation it becomes even more neccessary to have a humid. as maintaining high humidity becomes even harder. Check some thrift stores, you might find one for next to nothing...just remember, you are looking for a cool mist or cool evaporative style. Stay away from any model that is warm air unless you want unhealthy bacteria in your space.

Ok will do i will search for a humidifier to get that humidity up.......deff 30 percent is crazy the attic is really dry.....and temps are cool too...

Ok guys went to lowes today and bought a humidifier for 30 bucks and it seems to be doing the job it raised my humidity from 30% to about 90% and my temps are now between 70-73 deg....I also replaced 2 of the t-12 cool blue bulbs for 2 warm spectrum t-12 bulbs to increase the temps a bit more.....none of the diesels have broken the surface yet but im hoping to see some sprouts tommorow....in the meantime here are some pics of the vegging cab and of my nutes....Thanks Uber

The humidifier seems to be doing the trick temps rose and humidity jacked up to about 80-90%.....By the way nice looking plants........

Ok guys just an update had to add even more heating to the cab as growing in an attic in the winter is a little complex with the temps being so cold.....my readings as of last nite were mid 60s today after i added 4 40w cfls the temps rose to upper 70s....Also both dsdiesel's popped thru the soil today and are looking good.......

update.............day 13 seedlings......here some pics guys......plz feel free to comment.........lighting is 4 42cfls and 2 2foot flurotubes with mixed spectrums........2blue and 2orange........started with 24-0 for 7 days now there under 18-6.........My basil is starting to grow out as well....lol...
