my dog knows exactly when my bowl is done

i've had my animal for about 4 years and smoked many bowls at the park in the front seat of my car.

i usually park, dog in passenger seat curled up. Light and smoke bowl.

without fail, dog will get up and be ready for walkies right before the 2nd to last puff.

obviously there's some pattern recognition on dog's part, but i wonder if he can smell that the bowl is done, or do i do something subconsciously before the bowl is done that he picks up on.

Great story. It could be any of those things. In poker some people have a tell that gives them away when bluffing. A twitch, looking down or whatever. Do you stir the bowl or start doing things to prepare to walk. Like take the keys out of the ignition?

It is probably the smell. That is a dog's superpower.
