My Dad

He had his hip replacement yesterday - had an epidural instead of general knock-out.

He's almost 80, in pain and can't move. But he's alive, and the surgeon said it went really well.

He is an RC, and believes in prayer, so anyone that cares to, he'd appreciate.

I'm not - but kind thoughts couldn't hurt.

Thanks folks.

Folks - I'm runnin' outta K+ fast trying to thank you all for for your very kind words.

I am truly grateful, and my Dad will find out about each and every comment.

Damn - I'm actually gettin' misty eyed typing this...

Peace and pot to you all - I am a very lucky man to have this many people responding the way you have.

Wall Street, a thought I just had. Does your dad doing any flying? If so, he will need to get a card stating he has had hip replacement. At least my dad got one. He's the same age as your dad, roughly, a retired (obviously) Navy vet of 30 years and has Parkinson's. He sets off the airport alarms all the time and gets yanked out for the magic wand. Again, hope all goes well with his recovery.

Spooky - we were just talking about that with my Mom. Great minds, dude - I'd never have thought of it, but they go to Fla. every year, so Mom mentioned it.

One of my brothers went with them a few yrs back, and his tongue stud set off the alarm. That was the first time my parents noticed he had one, when he had to take it out and show the customs folks. lol
