Still growing Morning Dew, Cali Orange, SilverSpice, Shiskeberry, (new to the garden from seed) Star Gazer, B-52 and Ozghawi. 18 all total. I had some problems with my clones. I left them in the beer cups too long. Once I transplanted to 1 gal grow bags they took off again.

Hey page1. Thanks for stopping by. The vegging this time was done under (6) 40w Agrosun Full Spectrum fluorescents. The flowering closet has a 1000 hps hortilux giving life. My previous grow (the parents) were vegged under 400mh & 400hps. The clones and my 3 new seedling were vegged under the fluros. My light bill made me think about my fluros in the basement collecting dust. They work pretty good. I may never veg with my mh again. I actually have one more ballast to hang up to bump my watts up to 320 from my current 240.

Nice progression,I really dont think you kept them in the small containers too long I usually grow them about that size in 4 inch pots.It looks like you let them get a little N defecient in the smaller cups,I usually use half strength grow big a few tmes when they are 4 or 5 inches

Thanks Lofty. I've been able to do that. :joint:

Thanks Ballastman. I think your right. However, on my next set of clones I put them in 1 gal bags after they showed roots. I didn't want a repeat. But then I realized later I could still use the beer cups then transplant to 1 gal bags. That's what I'm currently doing in the veg room. The Big Bud clones are in beer cups. The MD, Shisk, CaliO, &SS are in 1 gal bags. I guess either way is fine. Don't know what I do next time.

I have to start out in 4 inch pots otherwise I'd never have enough room in my veg area to keep my flower room full all the time if that makes any sense!I can start 20 clones under 1 4 ft 2 lamp shoplight,at the same time I'll have plants vegging in 2 gal pots under the 1K MH and 800 combo. Its just a procession of cannabis from the flo to the HID's and into the flowerroom.

I have 4 on week 7 of flower and i built a shelf inside my closet. I put 2 sour diesels in about 4 weeks ago and 2 weeks ago i added a NL and an indica. When i harvest next week, i will move my stretched and lst'd SD to the floor and add 2 more plants to the shelf. In 2 weeks i will move the month old ones to the floor and add 2 more to the shelf etc. I should have a harvest eventually every 2 weeks while more clones are veging.

Oh No Spidermites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh No Spidermites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got some bad news. I noticed some spider mites today. I had this problem in the basement a few years back. I'm upstairs now and 4 months later there back! I noticed them on my b-52 this morning. (i thought the problem went away when i went upstairs. it was cleaner. but nooooo) i pulled the b-52 out and sprayed it with neem oil. then came home for lunch to check on it and it looked fine. then i check a few more plants near by they looked ok. the plants near by are about to be harvested. the b-52 won't be harvested until march 10th. i plan on spraying everyday till the weekend and i probably harvest on sunday. the mites aren't that bad, but now i'm semi worry mode. i'll have 4 more plants left in the closet after i harvest. the stargazer had few too. i sprayed her at lunch and i'll spary both of them in them morning. the stargazer will be harvested on the 2-16. they didn't spread to my flowering plants, i guess i'll have to clean before i bring over the new crew. how the hell did they just appear? will spidermites always appear in a grow room if your growing for 4 plus months? are they just inevitable? i've keep the room clean. the air is circulated. the humidity is 20% day time temps 83. i get the feeling since i've seen them (only in the flower room) i'll have to be proactive move more often. spraying with neem oil and maybe trying SM90 again urgh!!!

think i'll harvest on sunday instead of monday. 55 v 56. i don't think one day will kill me. gotta clean before the new girls come over. no more lazy growing.

happen to the best of us mate.

I hade 5 babies (I think it was someSD IBL or Straw d, an expensive strain) growing, got lazy on transplanting the last one, so it stunted it or so I thought. . I am on a very tight schduale so I said fuck it and chucked it. I really only wanted 1 female as a mom.

Come to find out all four were MALE. : Of course the other one look kinda like a short growing runt (not really stunted)! I compared it to the other 4 males (my mistake :badday: )....I just KNOW that one I fucked up was a female. I haven't grown the others I have out of sheer first impression dissapointment. I hate the packs you get with 8 or 9 males.... If you haven't had one yet... you will, that also happens to us all.

Looked good this morning...

Looked good this morning...

I check the plants that I noticed some spots and mites on. None today. I sprayed twiced yesterday with neem oil. I sprayed again this morning. I'll spray again tomorrow twice. I'll harvest one day early to I can clean the room. (best I can with 4 flowering girls.) This will allow the remaining 4 to breath and receive more light. In addition I can treat the last 4 with neem and sm-90 much eaiser without the 13 hovering over. I wonder why they didn't spread to my flowering plants? It's really not dirty in there, so I'm puzzled as to why all the sudden appeared on the few they did? I think I'll get some new fans maybe put two in there and monitor the new crop much more closely. Try and lower the temps. Dam this sucks. Hey maybe the mites were only on the two I treated and they won't be a major problem if I spay daily. I go into my next grow with great trepidation. :frown:

Chopped and moved on...

Chopped and moved on...

I harvested 3 days earlier then planned. I'm sure that's not gonna make a difference. The plant with most spots has been sprayed everyday with neem oil. I've made sure it's not touching any other plants. The Stargazer was also sprayed, but it's not too bad. I'll check again this week, but it will be harvested in 10-12 days so I'm not as worried. The infected B-52 has 30 more days. I added another fan in the flower room.

I prunned this set of clones much more then usual. As I watched the last crop grow, I noticed the lower buds did receive that much light. Some were nice nuggets, but most a waste of energy. So this time out I prunned the branches pretty bare. I'll post updates to see if this was a good idea.

Up the strength of the neem :) like double it gets rid of the mites well. Also where you find the shiskaberry?

I purchased them a few years back from Emery seeds. Cash Crop Ken still makes them at Vancouver Seed Bank. There called Kish now. I just ran out of my Docs neem oil. It was pretty old. I went to the hydro shop to buy some more. They didn't sell it anymore so I got some stuff called Bang. The store doesn't carry Docs anymore. So I'll doube up. But I'll spray everyday to be on the safe side. Luckly, I'm just dealing with eggs but not webbs or major infestation. I've killed all the ones I can see with the scope. I'll spray everyday. They haven't spread to other plants so I work to keep them on the one.

Thanks Walkabout. They still haven't spread. Still treating each morning and night. Keep growing they'll show up. :fsu: I didn't see them for 4 months and then bam there they were. A couple of mornings I forgot to open the door so the closet was closed and temps got up to 100+ for 5 or 6 hours. This happened two or three times. I'm thinking this was the best time for them to explode. I think. There's much more circulation in the closet now. I got two fans now and I'll occasionally crack the window. With temps below freezing the room cools down quickly.
