My brand new grow box, pix!, help me build it further!

Right, my friend who lives in next town (town A) got a apartment there.

I have apartment in town B, but for a number of reasons i cant grow here.

So, i am building a grow box for him.

Im gonna build it, hes gonna grow it... we will share the fruit

I just finished putting together bits and bones.

Its 4 ft high, 2 ft wide and 1.5 ft side

Im gonna fit in 250 HPS... i was hesistating whether i should put 400 but designed there is no such need reall, especially since we want t grow indica.

2 - 3 plants of some nice indica.

So first step is done.

next - i need to fit it with walls of some kind:

I have soome HEAVY ass ply wood. But its going to destroy this box.

So, i need some advice: i was thinking about using PLASTIC , transparent plastic - same as u had in your grannys green house, plastic roll out sheets. Fix bottom roof sides...

Leave ONE side open and think of making a AIR TIGHT door way

Maybe some LIGHT ply wood or plastic, with rubber/silicon sealings?

Then we will fit 250HPS with air glass tube cooling into a fan, into a filter, out of the box - everythings odor proof - very important.

Of cousre i need some mylar on the walls as well.

And then we will be adding 1/4 perlite, 1/4 verm and 1/2 some nice compost. Plus only organic nutrients.

well, i dont know how light the box has to be, but if anything you could make a box our out of MDF. but with all the light your gonna be using, you may not want to use plastics of any kind.

dont know if money is short or not, but why not just get a cab from home depot and out fit it so it can do every/anything. 2-3 plants honestly wont yield much for two people to share. by the time you finish your shared portions youll be watching the plants grow waiting for them to finish.

u can do a shitload with a 250 though. only advice i can give u is to honestly max what ever space you designate to grow in cause to be honest a 4 ft high, 2 ft wide and 1.5 ft side space is pretty much space enough for moms and clones, . . . well to ME its room enough for moms/clones

I got a 2x2x4 cad made out of Plywood with a coolubed 400 and it is PERFECT IMO. If you can col it dont hesitate to go with a 400

edit- My first try at growing I got 5.6 OZ outta 3 plants in the cab. I could have fit 1 more NO PROB! I can and will get 8 oz out of my cab this run!............. I hope! vegged heavy indica clones for 5 days and then went to 12's my first run

desant, you might think of covering it with 1/8" hardboard. That stuff is easy to work with, you can cut it with a little electric sabre saw, and it would screw onto that frame easy with short "bright" finish deck screws. I built a whole closet out of that stuff screwed down onto a 1x4" frame; it worked great.

250W will grow plenty for 1 or 2 people unless you are pigs, maybe even then. I grew out a bunch that way; the buds were a little more sparse than under a 400, but still more quantity than I could smoke; it was a kick giving it away.

I just finished popping 5 seeds under my 250, and will switch to a 400 for flowering.

1/8" stuff will probably be some kind of expensive veneer. I'd buy 1/4" plywood b/c. You can probably get a sheet for $25.

Can i use greenhouse poletilen film?? The only problem i can see with that is it can let thro air and it will SMELL??? Or do thik plastic poletilen films dont let smell thro??

maybe use some thin wood and then line it with panda film.

if it is sturdy enough now, you could just cover it with panda film, like a small version of this:

I just been to 2 biggest dep stores home base and range and non have not only "panda film" they dont even have ANY politelen films at all!!!

the ONLY way to "contain" odor is to scrub it, exhaust it or cover it up. NO plywood or panda film alone will contain MJ's flowering odor.

You are stuck building or buying some sort of scrubber or scent masking agent (ONA gel type, or an ozone generator)

1/8" hardboard (sometimes called masonite), cheap, not expensive veneer. It's like pegboard material, without the holes.
