Whoa buddy, you're going to have to give us alot more info than that. What kind of system are you running, what are your temps like, what's the ppm/ec of your medium and what kind are you using? Are you using any additives, what kind of seeds are they. Please include some details. Thanks.

Ponics.

i got a 600 hps im using sun shine mix #4 no additives just plain bottled water at room temp. the seeds are ak 48 from nirvana

Hi hydro-4

the 600w is too strong for small seedlings,
place seedlings under 100-200w, or on window, or in kitchen
for seeds use a light-soil mix, or add extra perlite to normal mix
a small fan (not direct) will strengthen stems
plain water

hope this helps

:off2:

i had one problem before and started to notice my stems being broken and clipped off. I put a mouse trap out and boom... solved the problem...

DOCleaf is correct..

Yeah you need fluro's for your seedlings. I use a single small 18w. Keep the top leaves 2-5cm away from the light at all times.

I would say that’s your seeds are stretching for the light and bend over and die. But with a 600w I don’t think that’s the case. I think your sun shine mix is to hot. Too much nutes

They stretch and get thin in part of the stem rite? Then fall over and die?

Add coco or perlite to your soil mix.

you were right xxosh25xx i put a mouse trap out last night and pow got the little fucker wondering what i was doing wrong this is probably my tenth grow from seeds and this never happened before LOL thanks guys

err.. it doesn't help at all!! :(

all seedlings need a light soil mix, a normal mix will kill the plants or over-feed them if you're lucky. how is adding perlite going to make the normal mix into a light mix? perlite only aerates the soil..

how are the stems going to be strengthened if the fan isn't blowing directly at the plants?!

and the prize for biggest false information spreader goes to.. you guessed it, DOCLEAF!!

I had a little problem my first time. i completely over over nuted and youll get a good laugh of how i did everything wrong. I mixed the miracle gro soil with perlite and bloodmeal...ooo bad idea, planted the seeds too deep. realized it 7 hours later, pulled them out. kept them in dark. then used a 1000 mh light on them. it was about 88 degrees.

what a moron huh?
fixed my problem. i was over anxious. so i got miracle gro soil mixed it with perlite and ran water through it. let it sit for 2 days while seeds are germing. then i put the tap root facing down, and put very very little soil around and little bit on top of the seed. spray with water, saran wrap the top after blowing some air inside, and let it sit under floros. thas it, 2 days later squirt and take the saran wrap off, or whenever you see tops. floros floros floros till it's strong enough for a good veg.

wow lol, I can't believe that was the problem. A mouse!

Too funny.

Btw, a 600watter can be used just fine on seedlings as long as it is placed a minimum of 1 metre away from them
