My 5 ton AC is so loud! Suggestions?

My 5 ton condenser is loud as shit. Think my neighbors are getting pissed since it runs all night. I'm in med state got all my paperwork way below my limits but I'm still running 12 lights. I have to run from 6to6 at night since power is cheaper then. Any suggestions to quiet that bitch? I saw the quiet fence but looks pretty cheesy. I guess excel airs stealth unit is worth it! Haha

try a compressor blanket

its a heavy weight insulation jacket that you use to cover the compressor in your outdoor unit. Brings sound down to about half of what it is. Used them many times.

The problem with excel stealth unit is that you now have to deal with the compressor inside, vibrating and humming throughout your whole house. Very hard to deal with, plus I see alot of compressor failures on remote setups like the stealth...

extreegrower; I'd like to be your neighbor! Have you tried having the moving parts lubricated? Mine is much quieter than my neighbors---I have no clue why though. It was quieter a year ago, though. You could carry a normal conversation standing next to it. I hear my neighbors unit go on and off every time it does. If your neighbors have new windows, they probably can't hear it. Pay them a visit and listen. jpt

The compressor blanket will help. Maybe a brick or two with rubber under them to absorb vibration in a place or 2.
